I had my brake pads checked 2 weeks ago. Now the e brake flashing while driving, the maintenance minder is A137 , oil change, tires, replace transmission fluid and replace brake fluid at your convenience.

How critical is this? I originally had my brake pads checked because we are leaving tomorrow to Colorado about a 1,500 trip one way. I told the mechanic two weeks ago the brake pads needed changed, even though they looked fine but it was feeling like it took longer to stop. They told me they didn't need changed and I went on my way.
