when do you change your oil?

Do you wait until the wrench? or do you change it at 50% or something like that? and yes, this van does a lot of driving with people in it

2007 Ody Leaking water during rain

We noticed that when it rained water would come in from the driver's side (like in the video) and passenger's side near where the seat belt comes through. Our mechanic flushed out the sunroof tubing in case it was clogged, and this video was taken after that.

What should we do? Anyone know any fixes?

2012 Touring 75K miles for $13k, worth it?

Hi, I found a low-milage odyssey for sale by the original owners the take is... it was only driven about 3K miles from 2019-2024. Oil changes were done once a year because of how little miles they were putting into it. However, there was no oil change from Oct 2019 to Apr 2024 according to the Carfax.

Asked the seller if the oil changes were done by her husband or if they took it to an independent shop were there was no carfax report. Said she will get back to me after asking her husband but she is almost certain he didn't do it himself.

Based on the years, it might be time for a new timing belt and I believe fluids.

1.- Should I just walk away?

2.- What would be a good deal?

Thank you,

2026 Rusting below paint—Warranty coverage

Hello. I bought the car in August of 2025 and just noticed this bump in the paint. I suspect it to be rusting from the inside out. It looks like Honda’s warranty covers corrosion perforation only.

I supposed to just wait it out until it creates a hole in the door? Should I take it to the dealer now?

Might be joining the club…

Found a 2015 EX-L with DVD with 168k miles for $9900 from a private seller, 2nd owner who has had it since 2016. Belts and water pump were done at 100k, it’s been garage kept and well maintained but had some cosmetic scratches and needs a good interior cleaning.

We’re having our own mechanic check it out, too.

What should we be aware of? Would you move forward (pending inspection)? Would you negotiate? New to buying a high mileage car and feeling anxious. Thanks!

2019 I hope anyone out there with 3 kids can appreciate how absolutely cooked my floor tracks are

Saw someone posting their pristine interior the other day and I almost laughed out loud. Must be nice. My 2019 is currently a graveyard of crushed cheerios, melted fruit snacks, and whatever mystery juice my youngest spilled last week.

The biggest issue is the second row sliding tracks. The factory carpet mats leave them completely exposed, and now the tracks are full of sticky crumbs and dirt. Every time I try to slide the seats it sounds like grinding gravel. I tried using a shop vac, but I can't get into the deep crevices.

I’m looking for full-coverage liners now and trying to decide what actually works. Does model fit and precise seat clearance matter more, or do you just buy something with a high edge height and accept that it’s going to block the magic slide tracks from moving fully?

second row sliding rails are a garbage design for families

i love our 2019 odyssey for road trips but the way the second row seats slide on those exposed floor tracks is driving me absolutely insane. my kids treat the back seat like an open-air cafeteria and every single goldfish cracker, pet hair, and gravel from their shoes ends up directly inside the track mechanism. i spent an hour today with a crevice tool and a toothpick trying to dig crushed cheerios out of the grease so the seat would actually slide forward again.

i keep seeing people say to buy heavy duty floor liners to cover the area, but if you actually use the magic slide function regularly, the mats either bunch up or leave the tracks totally exposed anyway.

does anyone have a setup where they successfully covered the tracks without losing the ability to move the seats? right now i'm about to duct tape over the whole thing tbh.

Sliding Door Can't Close 100%

We have a 2020 Honda Odyssey. Just today, the door can close but then it makes this noise and slightly pops back open. I tried manually closing the door by turning off the powered door switch by the steering wheel, cleaning the tracks, lunch sensor seems ok, and even popped off the cover next to the cup holder and pulling the yellow cord per the manual.

I'm going to bring it in tomorrow to the dealer unless someone has an idea how what this issue may be. Really appreciate and insight!

CANT CLOSE SLIDING DOOR 06 Odyssey

Title, door opened normally but now when closing it stops halfway, also while trying to close it manually, all we want is to close it to never touch it ever again.

2019 Touring trim- Finally got my dream wheels on!

Just because I'm a mom driving a mini van does not mean it has to be boring! The Odyssey has always been a dream of mine to own and I upgraded about 2 years ago from a Caravan. I've been wanting pink rims for awhile now and was finally treated to a set as my mother's day present! I love how cool this looks 🥰 hoping to eventually add some other mods or maybe even some decals to match!

What upgrades are a good idea to spice up the ride

That's me and my van. Those are the rims I plan on getting.. anything else you think might make having a van a bit more exciting?

Buy 2024 Elite or 2025 Elite? (Tech differences?)

The minor refresh in 2025 such as USB-C outlets, larger screen, body minor change, is it all worth it? I would lose the option of the Blu-ray player and possibly some other semi-old tech I believe.

Looking to buy and so far between tech differences and price (roughly a 10k diff on comps $35k for 2024 or $45k for 2025s)

Looking to buy for larger family needs in the next 6months.

Fellow Phoenix or SUPER hot areas…

We have a 2011, van only gives out COLD air when accelerating, have been dealing with this for years, dealerships etc all say it works fine. Idling is awfully hot. So we are looking to upgrade to a 2019 or 2022 Touring. We have now tested 2 & both idle with only semi cool air! I am needing to be able to get cold air while idling (waiting for kids events to end etc etc) or be able to remote start and have it cool at least a bit. Is this just the norm for Odysseys or do the 2 we’ve tested from 2 different dealerships just have some fluke? We tried a Pacifica and that thing got super cold fast. Are my expectations too high??

Help identifying sound

Does anyone know what the clank at the end of this video could be from at the rear under carriage? Can hear it while driving but this is in the garage with the car off after driving for 40 minutes. 2026 odyssey sport

Talk me out of wanting a Honda Odessey as a 30M

Am I crazy for wanting to purchase a Oddesey as a 30M, that only has two small dogs and a partner, no kids? I think the odessey looks sleek and like that it has a V6. I see it more useful than a pickup truck, especially being able to have everything locked up safely in the back.

It has enough room to haul around big furniture pickups, fit all my extended family and friends, and seems comfy asf for road trips. I have a long daily commute and think the odessey would be a great addition.

Talk me out of purchasing a minivan lol

2013 Key battery

It seems the battery in my key is close to dead, it doesn't respond when I push the lock/unlock buttons anymore unless I'm right up next to the vehicle. If I replace the battery will the key have to be reprogrammed? Will I need to acquire the key code?

Check engine light was flashing, pull

Hello, I am looking for some advice. I have a 2020 Odyssey with ~120K miles on it. All of the scheduled maintenance has been performed (timing, spark plugs, etc.). A couple of weeks ago the check engine began to flash while driving, I pulled over and turned the engine off. According to the manual I was to wait 10 minutes, start the van and schedule a visit to the dealership. I did just that, the dealer spent two hours the next morning trying to diagnose why this occurred, found nothing. Dealership comments were, "Scanned vehicle, no codes found. Inspected wiring system, fuel, spark, timing, electrical. Performed output tests and a test drive. Cannot duplicate concern at this time. Vehicle is currently operating as it should". The only comment provided verbally was that it may be running a little rough and try some better fuel. It has been fine until today (~1,500 miles later) when the exact same thing happened. When I got home, I scanned the van, no codes. I pulled 3 spark plug (2 from the front bank, and one from the back) and they looked to have normal use. Anyone have any ideas?
