PSA: Rowenta cordless vacuum batteries recalled due to fire risk

>Description:

>This recall involves cordless vacuum cleaners with a recalled lithium-ion battery that is housed in the handle of the device. The vacuum is sold in red, black and silver. There are two models, X-Force Flex 14.60 Animal, model number RH99A2U1 and X-Force Flex 15.60 Animal, model number RH99F2U1. The Versatile X-Force’s lithium-ion battery model number is ZR0097U2 with a date code that begins with either 23 or 24.  The batteries were sold separately or with the vacuum cleaners.

>Remedy:

>Consumers should stop using the vacuum immediately and remove the recalled lithium-ion battery from the handle. Visit the company's website at https://www.rowentausa.com/recall-campaign-xforce to register for the recall. Consumers will be asked to upload a photograph of the model number and date code for the battery. Upon verification that the battery is recalled, the firm will send a free replacement lithium-ion battery to the consumer. Consumers will be asked to dispose of the lithium-ion battery in accordance with local and state regulations.

>Note: Do not throw this recalled lithium-ion battery or device in the trash, the general recycling stream (e.g., street-level or curbside recycling bins), or used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be disposed of differently than other batteries, because they present a greater risk of fire. Your municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center may accept this recalled lithium-ion battery or device for disposal. Before taking your battery or device to a HHW collection center, contact that office ahead of time and ask whether it accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries. If it does not, contact your municipality for further guidance.

>Incidents/Injuries:

>The firm has received two reports of the lithium-ion battery overheating or not charging and an additional 65 reports globally. No injuries have been reported.

>This recall involves the Aer2 Car Seat Adapters for Joolz Aer2 Strollers.  The adapters are designed to transfer the car seat from a car to the stroller. The black adapters are sold in a set of two and are made of plastic. They are sold as accessories. Only the car seat adapters are involved in the recall; the stroller is not involved in the recall. A product identifier starting with NL311 can be found on the inside of the adapter.

>Remedy:

>Consumers should stop using the Joolz Aer2 Car Seat Adapters immediately, detach them from the stroller and go to http://joolzcarseatadapter.expertinquiry.com to register for a full refund. The firm will provide a video on how to remove the Joolz Aer2 Car Seat Adapters from the stroller. Kawasaki Motors USA Recalls Model Year 2026 Teryx4 H2 and Teryx5 H2 Recreational Off-Road Vehicles Due to Impact and Injury Hazards

>Description:

>This recall involves Model Year 2026 Kawasaki Teryx4 H2 and Teryx5 H2 recreational off-road vehicles with the following model numbers: KRT1000D, KRT1000F and KRT1000G. Each unit has a unique VIN number located on the right rear of the main frame underneath the rear fender and above the rear wheel. The vehicles have either “Teryx4 H2” or “Teryx5 H2” on the driver and front passenger doors and the Kawasaki logo on both the left and right side above the rear wheels. The recalled vehicles were sold in lime green color. Model numbers are printed on the owner’s manual.

>Remedy:

>Consumers should stop using the recalled vehicles immediately and contact a Kawasaki dealer to schedule a free repair. A technician will replace the moveable clutch sheave assembly, install a clutch cover guard and reprogram the Engine Control Unit (ECU) on the vehicle. Kawasaki is contacting all known purchasers directly.

>Kawasaki has received 19 reports of incidents involving drive converter sheave breakage. No injuries have been reported.
