Not sure if I’m just making mistakes as a newbie but anytime I try to unload my bike by myself from the truck, it always end up going off center on the ramp and eventually gets to the edge where it even falls off sometimes. Before actually getting it to the ramp, I make sure the bike is straight and lined up, but halfway down I see it’s nearing the edge. The ramp is narrow ramp, specifically for dirtbikes. Is there something I am overlooking or do I just need to practice keeping the bike straight more? I really thought it’s straight but as I come down, it doesn’t seem like it is
It’s for sale for 30 bucks I’ve never ran a fly wheel weight but they’re like 4x as expensive new sooo
will be riding single track/enduro in colorado. fwiw I'm experienced with downhill mountain biking and street motorcycles and I had an XR650R I used for dirt roads and ripping around Denver. I also do have some mechanic experience.
should I go for a 300 hours beater for a couple thousand to see if I actually like it? or just go ahead and spring for like a $7k recent low hours bike?
Video for reference, is this normal? Happens on both boots so I’d imagine they aren’t both bad but is there an adjustment to fix this?

Hey guys, I’m trying to fix my 2013 kx250f, and it had low ish compression, so I did a top end rebuild with a weisco piston, and got it back up to 90 psi. It still dosent want to start, and I’m beginning to think it’s related to timing. I recorded my valves along with my spark plug to try and see if the plug is firing at tdc, where the valves are facing outwards, and this is what I got. It looks, at least to me that the plug is firing when the valves are facing inwards? My flywheel has 2 marks on it, and I’m not sure which one to base the valves off of. Could this be the issue? Thanks!
I drive a Camry (getting new car within 6-9 months)
I live in an apartment
I’m 30 min away from closest beginner area (Sacramento)
Is there a way to make this hobby work lol
Hey everyone, quick question about a 2017 YZ125 clutch. While doing a bottom end rebuild, I accidentally dropped the clutch plates on the table. They are used, and I lost track of their original sequence. I reinstalled them in the correct alternating order, but not their original positions. Will this cause harsh wear or slipping? Is it safe to just measure the overall stack height and test it once the engine is back in the bike? Thanks for the help!
Also how much is a good bike to start out with?
That sounds where it sounds like its hitting something
I need help finding where this leak is coming from. Originally I was told it was Spooge coming from my exhaust but that doesn’t look to be the case the exhaust port looks relatively clean. Any ideas what this could be?
Genuinely what else can I do. I’ve tried 2 different extractors, tried drilling it out, cut a slot for a flat head and tried to cut through the washer plate thing
was riding normally on the road, cruising at like 45-50km/h and then i hear like a sound poped up in the engine it was like really sweet and the smell coming from it was like hot chocolate idk how to describe it, i pulled over fast, and i smelled it, then i checked the engline from the outside it looked oki, then i looked at the dip stick, the oil level was normal, but there was like a grinding sound coming from the top of the engine, it didn't lose power or anything its just that the noise came up and the smell its a 2024 year so i dont think Anything really back could have gone bad it only has 30MH on it i bought it used, but idk when the oil was last changed. What could be the problem?
So I got gifted a Yamaha 450, I’m 21 and basically have 2 hours total in motorbike riding experience throughout my whole life. Some people are saying it’s risky to learn on something that big and others say just take it slow so I’m not sure if I’ll learn on this thing or break a leg.
