I’m seeing conflicting things, which years have the capability to start the car from the app? I understand there’s a monthly fee.
We keep getting the "Service Shifter" message and we've taken it to 2 different dealerships for work under the extended warranty. The first dealership said that the issue was caused by an aftermarket wiring harness for a GPS tracker (presumably for repossession purposes). They removed the wiring harness, but I got the same message when I picked it up. My wife took it to another dealership in another town, they replaced the shifter knob and said that the other messages (Adaptive Cruise Control off, Service Electronic Stability Control, FCW Unavailable Service Required, ACC/FCW Limited Functionality, Start/Stop Not Ready) were all due to an issue with a faulty Starlink module behind the glove compartment. They said not to worry about that, there is supposed to be a recall on the module soon. The vehicle is drivable, but the acceleration tends to lag badly when the error messages start popping up. I have tested the voltage on both batteries and they both are at 12.6V, the alternator is outputting 13.8-14V.
I wanted to replace the wiper blades on my 2020 Pacifica, which I purchased used 2 years ago. I ordered a 26" driver side blade and a 20" passenger side blade, as is standard. When I went to install them today the 20" blade was clearly too big. I measured the blade that is currently there and it is 17". I can't find mention of this anywhere. What happened? Did the previous owner replace the wiper arm with the wrong size?
Edit: photos added of current 17" blade.
Made it to 315,089. Blew the head gasket.
Hello everyone
I own a 2017 chrysler pacifica and was changing the brakes and rotors when I realized the rear driver side caliper boot was torn and the piston fully extend. Now I need to replace the caliper. Any suggestions I was hoping for a complete caliper with the electronic braking system attached. I haven't been able to find any.
Also is there any way to depress the pistonto put everything back together until I get a replacement. The traditional caliper depression tool didn't work and can't fit a C clamp due to the electronic parking brake system.
Thanks
My 2025 non-hybrid has been doing good work hauling drywall and paneling this week. Fits perfectly. Picture has it sticking out, but pushed in it fits perfectly.
This one baffles me y'all.
I have a SiriusXM All Access account tied to the radio in my 2021 PacHy Limited.
When tuning to stations by turning the knob to the right beneath my uConnect screen, the radio literally jumps past stations as if they don't exist.
⋅ It's the same stations it skips past, but nothing is explicitly set as a favorite or preset.
⋅ I can tune directly to the station and it will load.
⋅ If I direct tune then use the knob to tune to an adjacent channel, the radio often resets me back to channel 1.
⋅ I've reset the radio and am not logged into a profile.
This bothers me because the stations it seems to skip are also the ones I really want to listen to!
Any ideas?
Hello! What’s the highest miles you’ve heard of on a Pacifica? I’m looking into buying one that already has 67k on it. A little nervous how long it may last me. My 2016 Ford Explorer has 220,000 miles and it’s still going strong.
Random check engine light, limp mode, throws tons of codes, all sorts of issues. Dealer unable to recreate but each time they give the car back it’s good for a little while, then happens again. What’s the problem what’s the fix?
Appreciate any help!
I’m waiting for my Comma4 for Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid 2022. I understand then I’ll have to download a software and there are few. Please recommend me which one will be best for my van and if you can explain a little why. I’ll really appreciate it.
We park in our garage and are able to leave the rear hatch open overnight. What we found is even after a few hours, the hatch cannot be closed electronically via the buttons, it has to be manually closed. Even restarting the vehicle does not restore button functionality, so you have to get back out of the vehicle and manually close the hatch. Kind of a dumb thing that couldn't even be resolved by restarting the damn vehicle. What up with that?
I've gotten some good information from the chryslerminivanforum.net site several times over the years we've owned our Town and Country, but couldn't get to it a few weeks ago. Thought the problem was on my end but tried again, and it appears that the entire site is gone. I think there were several related fora too, also apparently gone. Anyone have any idea what happened to it?
PS: sorry to not be a Pacifica owner...really. The hybrid, specifically. I wanted to get one last year before the tax credit went away but we decided to stick with the T&C another year, thinking a 'newer better' Pacifica would come around. Ooops!
While driving today, my car all of sudden sounded like rocks were hitting the underneath for about 5 seconds. I thought I had blown a tired, but a quick check of the dashboard told me otherwise, so we kept going. Then it happened again so we pulled over. Long story short, we were near a shop and the owner actually drove over to check it out and drove my van the two blocks to the shop. At this point, no warning lights were on, but I did notice some white smoke briefly coming from the passenger side wheel well.
He was able to get up on a hoist quickly and determined it was the plastic under the car coming loose and simply removed it because it is not a necessary part. We were on our way, relieved for a quick fix for once. Less than a quarter mile down the road, the engine temp warning light came on. I turned off as soon as I was able, turned it off, and call them back. We were about 5 minutes away using back roads and he advised to just keep it moving. Got it back to them and it was determined the water pump was bad as the bearing had come off. By 4 o'clock, they had it fixed and I drove it the 18 miles home.
At the very last stop light, just 4 blocks from home, I noticed smoke coming from the passenger side again. I called the shop and they said it was likely residue from changing the water pump and we could pour water on that side of the engine bay and it would help clear if off. Did that, ran the car at idle in the drive way and it still smoked. Drove it the store about a mile a way to test it out and it smoked when getting there and getting home. When I got home, I noticed there is dark fluid on the inside of the passenger wheel rim that is not on any other wheels.
I will call them back in the morning, but not sure its a good idea to drove it the 18 miles back to them. I hate not knowing what is wrong and am so completely sick of car issues. Any ideas?
I have a 2019 model. Only 77k on it. Second time in two years where I’m getting the battery replaced. It may be because of the start/stop engine feature which I’m turning off. I’m close to paying it off but it may be time to look into trading in.
Just got back from a 3000 mile road trip in my 2025 Pacifica and am super pleased with the 29.4 mpg. We went from NJ to Alabama in a big loop that also hit Mississippi and Arkansas. Gas prices weren’t horrible, paid as low as $2.98 in Tennessee. Hotels ranged from $75 to $125, not bad. Edit: I posted prematurely 3 hours before we arrived home: ended up at 30.5!
Just finished setting up a 15in screen with fire tv in the car for the little one to watch on long road trips. Setup cost about $80 total. If I went and added another screen on the other side then it would basically be an additional $50 as all the other adapters were ordered as a set of 2 or more on Amazon. Powers off when the vehicle turns off as well. If anyone wants links for their own setup let me know.
Made an edit to the price that was paid. Total was about 80-85 for the setup. Also this is not just limited to the fire tv. Can add your gaming consoles to it. Just need to purchase a 12v inverter for it. Can also do a switch hookup to it but since the kids are young we don’t have that yet for them. Maybe in the future.
My dealership is saying they cannot move forward with the warranty claim and fix without being able to recreate this issue. Seeing this issue occurs at highway speeds, it seems like a extremely dangerous thing to do to release this vehicle back to us And for us to continue driving it.
Has anyone had luck recreating this at the dealership? It seems like such an intermittent issue and they have driven it for 40 miles already with no luck. Does contacting Chrysler do anything? The dealership gave me a customer contact information but also said at the same time it is unlikely they will do anything.
The code I'm getting is the P0A43.
Edit:
called Chrysler last night at 8pm, luckily got through immediately. A nice customer rep started a case for me and said a case manager will call within one business day.
Found in my paper work that my Pacifica is part of the XE-1 warranty extension with unlimited years/times. Sent this over to the dealership who still refuses to do anything.
Got the call this morning from Chrysler. They gave me an option for rental car reimbursement ($60/day, excluding tax). And assured me the dealership is looking into it, and they will not release the car back to me. If nothing is found by Monday, she will call again and discuss next steps.
Tdlr; calling Chrysler helps. Fingers crossed. Dealership is useless. Did not offer Chrysler contact info, told me don't bother calling as Chrysler won't do anything, did not know my car was even part of the warranty extension.
2019 model. All the common problems with the oil leak behind the engine. The stupid transmission.
And now we’re on our third set of batteries for the vehicle and the stock feature.
Service writer says because we turn off the start stop with the button in the vehicle, but it does not allow that battery to charge. Where was this information when we were on our second set of batteries? First one was covered under our extended warranty and now that there’s happened again and even though we had gotten it there before our extended warranty out, they’re not going to replace our batteries, even though it was still covered under our extended warranty, but because we used our extended warranty, they’re not going to honor another set of batteries. Not even pro rating it.
So the manufacturer put a feature on there that when it’s turned off is going to cost you a lot of money. What a fucking gimmick.
Not to mention, it’s been there for four weeks for someone to look at, no wonder. The battery is dead. It hasn’t been started in a month. On top of having to pay a rental car for a month.
