moms who own a pacifica minivan - what do you do with your purse?

A few years ago I drove a rented Pacifica 9 hours to Canada and it had the short console (it didn't attach to the dash). There was a convenient open space between the dash and console and I placed my purse there. It was perfect. I'm ready to buy a Pacifica now but can only find the short console on the Select trim but I really prefer the Limited trim. However, the Limited trim does not come with the short console! What's a girl to do!!! The long console (attached to the dash) has an opening at the bottom but its hard to get to and I don't want to shove my purse down there. Any advice on what to do?

Parking sensors 2024

I have a 2024 Pacifica rental currently while my Odyssey is in the shop. I have all of the sensors turned on, both sound and display, but the parking assist sensors aren’t doing anything. No alerts, beeping, nothing on display…it’s like they don’t exist! Since I can’t see the front of the car, I am wary about how close I can actually get to things when I park. Is there some setting I’m missing? I’ve scrolled through all available menus on the screen. Help! Thanks!

Could someone help guide me on changing an auxiliary battery?

Hello!

We have a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica limited and the auxiliary battery needs changing. I found a video of a guy that shows how to change it but our van has something a little different then what his showed. It has some insulation wrapped around the battery and then this red box on top of it. Picture attached. If I’m correct, the aux battery is the one on the left?

I hardly know anything about cars other than adding fluids and changing the filters. So I apologize, bear with me for asking dumb questions. I’m the type I want to try doing it myself if it seems easy enough but then if not I would seek/hire help lol.

Here’s the video I was talking about:

Going for 800

2023 Pinnacle plug in. Last fill up April 23d before a 340 mile round trip. Rest is just around town driving. Love this thing. Gas is over 5 bucks where i live. Seeing if I can get 800 miles out of this tank.

Front 12v Cigarette Lighter always on

Howdy!! I purchased a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica yesterday and so far so good. But I did notice something odd, my front 12v cigarette lighter is always on, even when the van is turned off and the key fob isn’t near the car. Is there a way I can change this ? I am using a CarPlay screen off that port and I don’t want it to be always on.

Purchasing a previous Rental

Hey all, I’m planning on purchasing a previously rented Pacifica from either Avis, Hertz or Enterprise. Should I buy their extended warranty or should I buy the Mopar warranty?

Android auto / Uconnect issues on 2025 limited

I've been having 2 issues with the infotainment screen on my 2025 limited.

  1. Android auto will sporadically just disconnect mid drive. Sometimes reconnects automatically when the vehicle restarts other times I have to go into settings to do a restart.

  2. While streaming music from my phone I will have tiny little audio dropouts. Almost like it's an interference blip. It's very quick but enough to nottice. Will have a 1 word or 1/4 - 1/2 second drop out on a song.

Is this a common thing? Or have I been blessed with these unique quirks?

Any fixes / tips / suggestions ?

Loud Crunching Noise

I will try and get a recording of the sound, but for now, I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this one. It’s a random sound that we can’t identify with any particular action (I.e. stopping, accelerating, turning, etc). It’s a very loud crunching noise that sounds similar to an older windshield wiper scraping a too dry window. It does seem to happen more now that it’s warming up, but maybe the problem is just worsening. We will take it in. 2021 Limited. Anyone? I’ll update with a video when I can.

In case it helps anyone else

My van has been having problems all week. While driving down the road it started beeping, the power steering went out, a message came on the dash saying service electronic stability control, and the cruise control shut off.

I got the van home but it wouldn’t start anymore. The starter would engage and then it would shut off and all warning lights would turn on.

I heard from the dealer today that the issue was related to the installation of a tow package. The trailer brake was installed with the ground wire behind the TCM and the nut holding it in came loose. The system shorted and it fried the TCM.

The dealer said this is the second Pacifica they’ve had in this month with the exact same issue.

Questions about 2021 AWD Pacifica

Hey all, I test drove a 2021 AWD Pacifica with 74k miles today. It has the S package, theatre package and the safety sphere. I am seriously considering buying it. I have a few questions:

1.) is there a way to split the screen and have fam cam pulled up on one side and apple car play on the other? Ideally I’d love to be able to view the kids and Google Maps at the same time without having to toggle back and forth.

2.) the hands free lift gate only opens right? You can’t kick it closed?

3.) the lift gate is startlingly loud from the inside…. The first time I closed it I thought something was wrong. It seems less loud when I stand outside the van and close it. Is that normal? I am coming from a 2018 Jeep compass that has power lift gate and that thing is a whisper compared to the van today.

Thanks in advance everyone!

Burning ish odor

I’ve got a high mileage 2019……. smells a little like plastic or electronics melting but not unlike oil. No smoke. I’ve read about the oil cooling system going …. are there signs ahead of time. All normal on the dashboard. Runs like a top. It’s cold here in Western NY so heat is running or dehumidifier quite a bit. Just drove an hour at 70 mph

Really like Pacifica but I’m terrified

I’m really liking alot of the 2024‘s im seeing, especially the price if I’m being honest. however im horrified at the idea of the oil cooler issues they can have. leaking? fine I can fix that, wouldn’t be thrilled about it, but the idea of the fluids going where they should’nt sounds like an expensive problem. has anyone been through this? is the problem over blown by the Honda/toyota glazing community?

Check Engine Light ON when engine is OFF in Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid - dealer says normal lamp test?

Hey everyone, I recently noticed something odd on my Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. When the engine is OFF (ignition on/accessory mode), the check engine light stays ON. But once the engine actually starts/runs, the light goes away completely.

I took it to the Chrysler service center and they told me it’s just a normal “lamp test” and nothing to worry about. They said many warning lights come on briefly before startup to confirm the bulbs/systems are working.

Still, I’m a bit worried because I never paid attention to it before. No codes, no drivability issues, and the light disappears immediately when the engine is on.

Is this normal behavior on the Pacifica Hybrid? Anyone else noticed the same thing?

Odd request.

Hello, we have a 2025 Pacifica pinnacle and my wife noticed that the driver side wiper arm, not the blade, has an aggressive curve in it (see picture) and she swears it was never like that before. Can you guys send me so pictures of your wiper arms, sitting the drivers seat and level with the dash to confirm if it’s bent or normal?! Thanks!!!

Wheel sizing

Hey guys,

I have a 2023 Pac FWD with the 20" wheels that came with Pirelli's on them. I am cresting 30k miles and am ready to change it up. I was looking to go with a smaller wheel (down to 18") with bigger sidewall tires. I have a muscle disorder and lighter steering would be nice for longer drives along with a smoother ride over bumps. I am looking at a set of GFX T38'S which are 18x8.5 with a +35mm offset. I just want to make sure these will work well and no issues will arise. I'm looking at going to a 60 or 70 sidewall tires based on your recommendations. Has anyone downsized like this before? Any info would be helpful
