Tire options for 2021 Pinacle AWD

I have read some past reviews on here. I want something good quality and good in all weather (Michigan snow). But I also want something quiet.

Our Pinnacle came with Pirrelli tires and I feel they are pretty quiet. Part of the reason we got a Pinnacle was for the low cabin noise over the other trim levels. The last thing I want to do is put some noisy tires on.

I realize its probably impossible to get a durable tire in all conditions and have it be low noise....something probably has to give...but in the discussions Ive seen online very few people talk about noise.

Looking to purchase a 2017 - Tips for me please ?

Hello there,

After a loooong evaluation time we shall purchase a used 2017 Touring. 100.000km with LPG installed. We are currently finalising details. It has basic functions, though there are nicer ones out there.

I am a bloody noob regarding Chrysler as a German, so don’t hit me, ok?

I understand there are different trims and packages one could get. What about retrofitting parts ? Like automatic tailgate openers or 360 view?
Afaik one should replace or add parts and it should become visible in the Dash, right? So CANBUS it is?
Is it worth to just get what I want from the beginning or is adding them a hassle?

I understand they were under the FCA Group which is Stellantis. Parts can be tricky as they’ve withdrawn from the German market, so I am willing to mod the heck of this thing.

For my old Opel Insignia I was able to get my hands on Op-Com and install it on an old Laptop. Isthere also some sort of diagnostic software which also enables me to code or program parts I can get ?

I am just looking to get it a little bit nicer as we seem to have trouble finding good deals on the model within 200km of Bonn.

Somewhere on the forums it was mentioned the 2017-2020 models can share in between parts,
Like the Radio. As CarPlay seems to be integrated well after 2018, I may also doing that.

Any help or tips, preferably with links to the source, would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Clear coat missing on 2027 Pacifica

Good morning

I work at a Chrysler dealership with a bodyshop attached. I got a call that someone bought a 2027 Pacifica from a different dealership without a bodyshop

They said that they have a couple flat spot on the hood that don’t have any clear coat and when speaking to the place they bought it from they told them it was a known issue with the 27s. I was wanting to know if anyone else has seen this on their 2027 Pacificas or if the dealership was lying to try and get this customer off their back.

I do not have any photos of the damage as the dealership told this customer they would send them over to us and we have never reserved any kind of information from them regarding this issue. And the customer lives about an hour away from our bodyshop.

P000A and P0394 Issues

Hello all! I have a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica with around 130k miles. Recently, I have been having trouble with these codes: P000A 'A' Camshaft Position Slow Response (Bank 1), and P0394 Camshaft Position Sensor 'B' Circuit Intermittent (Bank 2). The car drives fine, but seems to go into limp mode when the engine light turns on (it drives well after resetting codes).

I used to have issues with a misfire, which disappeared now. One cylinder, the computer did not say which, seemed to turn of completely when the engine was on high RPM, and then only turn on after restarting the engine.

The only fix I've done in this part of the engine as of yet is replace both cam sensors. There was a big vacuum leak which was causing some of the issues, but both codes still show up after fixing it.

Any ideas what could be happening? Please feel free to ask if you need more info. Thanks!

Blue Agave Nappa Leather Interior

Saw the 27 Pinnacle has an option for this new blue leather interior. Personally not a fan, as we love our 24 with baseball glove brown leather. Anyone like this new option?

2024 pacifica pinnacle, ac not cooling in the 2nd and 3rd row.

FYI, if the AC is cooling in the front row but not cooling in the second and third row there is a leak in the AC line that needs to be replaced. It was intermittent. They took Chrysler two tries to get it right hope this helps.

Infotanement screen UI change

Yesterday I noticed that some of the icons and colours on my main screen were different. I assumed there had been an update of some sort. But today, they have changed back. I have a 2024. Anyone else have this happen?

2017 Screen Replacement

My screen is glitching (phantom touches). I’m looking to replace outer glass digitizer panel or the whole panel itself. I’m okay with DIYing but not sure where to buy the part. Any suggestions?

CNN says minivans are having a moment again — anyone else feel like you got in right before it got cool?

Saw an article about millennials buying minivans again — Sienna sales up 35%, minivans running $4k cheaper than a comparable SUV, people decorating them on TikTok instead of hiding that they own one.
Kind of funny timing since I feel like most of us here bought ours for exactly that reason — cargo space and price, not to be cool. Anyone else notice more new-looking Pacificas around lately, or is that just me?

Drawer under radio won’t close

I put too many things in the drawer located under the radio and climate controls and had to kinda pop it out to get it back open. Now it won’t stay shut and I’m trying to figure out how to re seat it in. I have pushed it all the way back in where the button appears to be in the right spot but it never goes back to how it was before.

Moving on after 182k

Bought 2019 with 36k. Been a great vehicle with little trouble. Replaced the radiator at 170k and now the steering rack is going and they want 4700 to replace it. Since that repair doesn’t exactly extend the life of the vehicle we’re moving on to an Acura mdx. Happy trails owners!

Clunking noise?

Any bets on what it is? Just brought it to the dealership bc it’s still under powertrain.

2023 pacifica S, non-hybrid.

It does it when accelerating, braking, and coasting.

Update: Three bad engine mounts need replacement. Not covered under powertrain, $1700.

Thoughts on 21/22 Pacifica hybrid?

me and my wife are looking to trade in a Toyota Highlander for a minivan, and the most affordable option is the Pacifica hybrid. For those that have had one of these cars, what has your experience been? Have they been reliable for you?

2027 Pacifica front end — what do you think?

Looks like the 2027 Pacifica keeps the same overall body and interior layout, with most of the visible changes happening up front.
What do you think of the new front end?
And for anyone who knows the Pacifica well — do you notice anything different in the rear cargo area or interior? From what I can see, the back looks basically identical to the current model.

Uconnect theater issue

I have a 2019 Pacifica touring L and I keep getting this notification when I try to click the u connect theater. It happens at random when getting in the van. It’ll go days without doing it then one random day I’m locked out again until it decides to let me back in. Can some please tell me what causes this and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance

Ideal PSI for hybrid efficiency

Apologies if this has been covered but my searches found nothing recent. I've had my 2024 PHEV for about a month and the tires are at around 38 cold, close to spec. I was an early adopter with a Volt and the GM recommendations were criminally low, so badly that running spec pressure produced all the classic signs of underinflation - edge wear, chipping, more frequent blowouts, etc. After the community figured it out, most of us ended up running much higher PSI and not only dramatically increased efficiency but got way more life out of our tires.

I love efficiency, and I don't mind a stiffer ride, so I'm wondering, for those who pay close attention to tire pressure, what do you think is the best setting for efficiency? And what's the tradeoff like for tread life?

Coolant level below min, 2025 Voyager 20000 miles

Hey guys,

I just returned from a 3500 mile road trip. I had my eye on this throughout the journey. It was running low before, but it was at the min. Now is a good 1/2” or more below the min.

This reading was on a cold engine.

Any thoughts as to what’s causing this?

Thank you!

Auxiliary battery for 2017 pacifica

Hi! I was told my second battery is dead (its been a little over a year). I got a new main battery bc it was also bad, and at the time the person who changed my battery told me not to worry about the auxiliary battery bc it was just for the start and stop. My AC went out end of last summer and I didn’t get it fixed. Last week my main battery died, and the person who came to Charge it told me it is because the auxiliary battery, and I need both batteries changed asap. He also said my AC isn’t working bc of said battery. Is it true?
I don’t understand much about cars, and I’m in a new town where I don’t know many people or who is honest or not. This car is pretty new to me, so I’m just trying to figure things out with expending a leg…

21+ V6... any big trouble spots I should be aware of?

My family is in the market to replace our Yukon which spun a lifter on a road trip, and right now a van looks to be the most attractive option in our price range (23k, give or take).

I've been browsing the posts here and elsewhere, and it appears that the majority of posts discussing catastrophic failures are from owners from the first 3 years. Since I'm looking at '21 or newer (Android Auto is a must), this eliminates the earlier range of models automatically.

That said, how prolific are the common failures from '21 onward? Specifically the Pentastar tick, the oil cooler, the head gasket, and things like that.

Thanks in advance.

This might be a local issue, but hope someone can help

As I have said, we just went from a '17 touring L+ to a '25 limited.

When we drive past a specific location (Gilbert Rd between Baseline and Southen in Mesa AZ) our van beeps at us. It is just one short beep/ding like a low gas warning. We haven't seen any light or message associated with the beep.

Has anyone experienced something similar.

AFAIK we are battling 1000 (12/12). It happens going north or south.

I am going to do some more investigating on Friday when I have some time.
