What is this
I bought my 2019 civic recently and I found this in my center console. Idk if this is for the car or if it’s just some random thing the previous owner threw in the car before selling it. Any ideas?

Bought a 2024 Honda Civic Sport Touring in Meteorite Gray Metallic. Yes, a top trim Civic has been the dream car I've wanted for the last few years. And this is the first car I've bought on my own.
His name is Anakin.
I fkn love Civics.
If I keep the white more money for other fun activities - or microfibre cloths.
When I start up my Civic and start driving, within the first minute or two, i twill make a (comparatively to the rest of the car) loud engine sound towards the passenger side of the car.
Is this normal? Is it part of the hybrid functionality? The car is so quiet otherwise, this sound sticks out to me, but I'm wondering if its just normal startup sounds.
This rubber belt on the front underside of my 2018 civic touring sport has come loose. Does anyone know what it is? I saw something online saying maybe it’s a lower engine splash shield but I’m not sure. Please let me know, help is much appreciated!
Hey everyone! Out of curiosity, do you feel the hatchback or the sedan is a more practical choice? The hatchback is a bit shorter and offers more cargo space, and the sedan is a bit longer and offers a quieter ride, so I hear (and is cheaper). To rephrase, do you use the extra space in the hatchback often? What have you loaded in a hatchback that wouldn't work in the sedan, or did you get one for aesthetic purposes?
Recently, there has been a lot of news around the head gasket failure of 2023+ CRV Hybrid models and Accords, as well as 2025+ Civic Hybrids.
I also have received a notification to take my 2025 Civic to the dealership immediately to "Get Some Updates" on my car! I wonder if this is going to be a headache down the road, and they are offering a temporary software solution for a bigger problem. Then, I will have to get rid of this car sooner rather than later and switch to a Prius Hybrid or a Camry.
What are your thoughts? Any 2025-26 Civic Hybrid owners here with the same concerns?
what did yall pay for your civic sport hybrid?
Please don’t wait, get that done now! Dont want anyone to get blown head gaskets
I’m curious what sunshade everyone is using for their 11th gen Civic. I currently have the Covercraft sunshade, but I’m not sure how I feel about it.
As you can see in the pictures, there are some pretty large gaps, and the small folds on the ends don’t reach the front pillars and end up sagging. I haven’t had a chance to use it on a really bright day while sitting in the car, so I’m not sure yet how much of a difference they actually make.
It is also pretty large, to the point where I can tuck it under the headliner and hold it against the windshield without even using the sun visors.
For anyone who has used the Covercraft, how do you like it? Would you recommend keeping it, or is there another sunshade that fits the 11th gen Civic better?
No scratches on the outside but the inside is shattered. I imagine someone leaned against it too hard?
genuinely questions
For people who clean their own cars, do you usually vacuum first and then wash them, or is there a better method? Also curious what you guys use for stains that have been sitting there for a while
Trying to find a routine that doesn’t take half the day
So, I’m a new Civic owner, and I’m just wondering, what’s the best way to wash the car? For context, I got a 2026 Civic Hybrid Sport, and I’m really nervous about taking it through a car wash. But on the other hand, I do not have faith in washing it myself, and I really don’t have the time to. Any advice would be great!
Is this it? It’s behind the front wheels in a cutout behind the splash pan.
