Do y’all like your Honda Pilots?
Wife and I are looking at getting a 2023-2025 EX-L AWD. Any good or bad feedback? Would you buy your car again? Anything I need to be looking out for?
I’m looking to buy soon in the southeast.

Hi everyone, I have a 2025 Honda pilot and after listening to android auto for 1 hour in the vehicle with the engine off. The car died and failed to start.
I have a Gooloo 1200A jump starter but it looks like the positive and the negative clamp cables were too short so I cannot clamp the positive and the grounding at the same time.
After trying various unpainted nuts, I was not able to find one that works... Luckily, someone saw my struggling and happened to have jumper cables to start my car.
I have 3 questions:
I was reading and I am not sure if the gooloo 1200a can even deliver the necessary charge to jump start the car...how much amp should I be aiming for to start this vehicle?
suppose 1200a is sufficient, are there replacement cables that goes longer? I can't seem to find it.
if I want to get a bigger one for future proofing, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks!
Do all new Honda come with 1 or 2 free oil changes? And is roadside assistance covered for some?
I replaced the chrome emblem with black, and peace and harmony have been restored in the world. In my opinion, it pairs well with the other black accents and it's how they should come from the factory.
Edit for more info: In case anyone needs the part number, the one I got was 08F20-T90-100.
The swap was surprisingly easy, I used 15lb test braided fishing line to remove the old one. Rubbing alcohol for the leftover adhesive. Clean well, remove old center pins, install new emblem (pins included). It's basically impossible to install crooked thanks to the pins.
Looking for advice please. Looking for a 3 row SUV. I have limited options compared to everything sold in the USA. I’m stationed overseas so I either rely on the military auto sales or the cars on the economy. All these are the 2026 models.
I’m very in favor in the Pilot for the amount of room it has and it’s 3 row being a little bigger than most. These are the options I have and narrowed down to. Ideally this choice will be my car for the next 10+ year. Cars are expensive now a days and dropping $55k+ is kinda a big deal to me. So I really want to make the right choice for reliability.
I have a 2005 Honda CRV for a little reference fun :)
Looking at this car. The owner has a Carfax with a decent amount of service history and says he replaced the drive belt, timing belt, belt tensioner, and water pump within the past year.
He wants just under 14k, which seems high to me, but I also have no idea what number would make it a good deal to me since kbb estimations don't take into account recent repairs and the subjective sense of security from having service records
From what I saw, this year was pretty reliable overall so that sounds amazing.
It would be my first honda and my first time buying a car privately.
Looking at a 2020 Honda Pilot with the 3.5L V6 that is decently well cared for but the Carfax shows some electrical issues. The battery was replaced at 26k miles, then the battery/charging system and electrical system was checked a few hundred miles after that, then the car was sold. New owner had both systems checked every few thousand miles when they bought it in 2021 until they sold it a month ago. Battery was replaced again at 69k miles. Everything else looks good, regular oil changes every 5k-7k miles and timing belt replaced at 111k miles. Currently has 142k miles. Does this just sound like electrical gremlins and should be avoided?
I recently got a 2026 Trailsport and my wife and I are expecting our first baby in August. The Trailsport has captain seats in the second row so I was wondering if anyone has a really good solution for a dog seat I can buy that would work well so we can have the dog in the second row with the car seat. Any help would be great!
Hi, my wife’s car is paid off in January so I will be looking to purchase a new vehicle in the winter. I have decided on a Honda Pilot EX-L. What were your interest rates at purchase? I know that dealer incentives change monthly and my credit score is 777-833 depending on whether looking at chase or AMEX (both utilize Experian). But I can’t justify a 4.99% or 5.99% on a 72 or 84 month term. I am looking at keeping the monthly payment around $600. Am I better off purchasing a turned in lease. My local dealer told me that they do 1.9% financing on certified used vehicles for qualified buyers.
Before I buy a 26’ Trail sport are there any known issues or anything?
I’m coming from a 21 Highlander which ended up having absolute trash tier transmissions.
Hi all! I'm looking to switch from a Kia Telluride to a new Honda Pilot Elite. I'm in WI and no dealers near me have Elites in stock to even test drive. I'm not in a huge hurry to buy - does anyone have advice on trying to shop in transit vehicles vs placing an order? I'm not too picky on colors - just don't want white or black. A tow package would be nice.
If there are any dealerships that make it easy to get a great price in WI, Chicagoland, or even ~8 hour driving distance from Chicagoland, I'd love your recommendations.
Thanks!
im not a car guy apologies. Bought 2014 with 106k miles. Vehicle History Report says “timing chain tensioner seal replaced” at 104k miles. is this the timing belt assembly that should be replaced every 105k miles or is it something else?
I test drove Elite and love it but my wife likes the ride on EX-L more.... .... ....
Is it possible to ask a dealer to swap the wheels ? And would they even fit ?
Thanks!
I found a Honda Pilot with less than 80k miles on it.
Service history looks immaculate. 3.5L V6 2 owners leased than bought zero accident. Asking price is 13.5K.
Thoughts? Anyone have this vehicle. Any issues you experienced or know about?
This is the first quote they sent. Is it decent, or should I try talking them down more? Upstate NY, if that matters.
any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. 2008 honda pilot. 140k mil. been like this for 1-2 yrs and would make this sound every time i start the car but would slowly go away once the car heats up im guessing. Is this a concern? Or i can just leave it as is idk. it sounds like a sewing machine?
If its a failed tensioner perhaps, how much would that cost to fix? And do i take it to any repair shop uhh.. or can i fix it myself?
Can anyone help me understand or diagnose the shutter I get in my 2020 Pilot EX? After car is warm normally around 38-42 mph with light acceleration I have a loud shuddering sound from front driver area. If I hit the gas hard it goes away quickly.
My first guess is VCM, anyone way I can be sure at home without many tools?
Thanks in advance!
Hey guys, my first Pilot here. I'm pretty mechanically inclined but electrical gives me the heebie jeebies. Got this pilot a while back and needed a bunch of gaskets and new fluids - no big deal. Runs good after all that. Then I leave it parked for a week and battery dead. I bought it with a 9 year old battery, no big deal. Its at 10.5V and doesn't jump with my box or vehicle. Before a new battery, I swap in a 2 year old good battery (12.6V cold) from my other car and that's when things get funky. I get very rapid clicking and lights and gauges go crazy. One slow crank in the beginning then all the clicking. I troubleshoot as far as seeing the starter solenoid gets 12.6V at its connections. Whacking it doesn't help this time. Alone so nobody to test while I'm starting.
I'd rather exhaust my diagnostics before installing a new battery and starter solenoid / starter. Do you guys have any thoughts? Again, engine started strong and ran good before it sat for a week - nothing concerning prior to this. Thanks
