I have a 2019 Fusion 1.5L turbo, I have noticed my fuel economy has been terrible going through full tanks in a matter of 4 days. I usually commute 50 miles round trip to work taking the freeway. But my car is reading I’m going 100 miles round trip. I tested today avoiding the highway, and it called for 20 miles to get home and that matched what my gas gauge said I used. Is there something I need to look into that’s causing my vehicles fuel economy to be so poor?
I’m looking to buy this ford fusion hybrid and just wanted to know if this is a good deal or should I look for another vehicle? Vehicle looks really clean inside and out. I’m currently commuting to work and home about 1-2 hours away there and 1-2 hours back. If so is there anything I should be aware of when checking out the vehicle? If not should I keep my current vehicle? (2017 Honda accord sport) spending around $300 a week in gas alone and sitting at around 192,000 miles.
Got into an accident today, we thinking totaled?
Not mine just saw it on FB Marketplace
this is me pushing up and down on the back of my 2013 fusion, also squeaks like this nonstop, it’s never quiet
I'm hoping someone has had the same issue. My car started whining on acceleration. Then it lost power completely. And started making this noise. After letting it sit without running for a few minutes. It had power again and I was able to get it back home. It's a 2018 se Ecoboost
I am casually looking around for another old Fusion with a 2.5 . The hybrids are interesting as the mileage is a lot better. I saw this listing for a '10 hybrid that has some body damage. Assuming one could do the work, how bad could this car be?
Sorry if this is a little silly - I bought my ford fusion energi 2016 in January of this year and it has done this thing to me a handful of times. Seemingly at random, when I get in my car it will set off the alarm. Despite my key fob literally being attached to my hip and entering the car with me, it sounds the alarm and embarrasses the hell out of me! I never manually lock my car with the fob, the only time I ever use buttons on the fob is to remote start it on cold mornings. Does anybody know what might be triggering my car to do this? Thank you 😅
Alright, so it a hybrid 2015 model with 390k kms, a month back I replaced the back brake pads and rotors and changes tires from winter to all season (used 7mm even tread depth, hankook 2022 model tires). I am not sure before repalcing brakes and tires or just after, I noticed this humming sound started coming above 40km/hr speed even when car is running on hybrid battery (so it must not be enginer related, also before 3 months when engine was starting kind of slight loud noise was coming then usual, so get it checked the mechanic told me the muffler gasket is damaged so he replaced the muffler gasket for $50 bucks as he knows me and engine sound coming at idle car has gone).
Ran car for a month and drive a lot, so drived around 5-7k kms during last month. I checked online, and google said, it maybe bad wheel bearing or transmission issue.
For wheel bearing DIY checking, when I take right or left turn at high speed sound slightly get lower but is not going off completely. Get it checked with my garage guy, he said he test drove it and put the car on hoist and checked for sound under car with stethoscope kind of item that he has. He told sound is coming from 2 places, front left side axel and middle of transmission. Any idea guys what it can be? I still have doubt on wheel bearing or tires. But the mechanic told me about front left side axel noise and transmission noise.
Just learned that I need to do a replacement kit on my turbo for my 2014 Ford Fusion 1.5 L. For anyone who has done this before, is this a difficult job? What do I need to know before attempting?
Just want to say thank you to everyone that commented and especially rhe youtube link to replace without bumper removal. If anything I didn't even use the torq or 10mm removal. I was able to squeeze enough of my hand through to put pressure with my fingertips and loosen the bulb. Took about 10minutes the first bulb and 3 minutes the second. Absurd though being quoted $200+. Total cost was about $35 for Sylvana pair of H11s
I have a 2019 fusion hybrid and the 12v has died in the past but I’ve just jumped it and it’s been fine, tested the battery and it was in perfect condition. This last week the same thing happened, but it keeps dying (and of course the battery is “in perfect condition”). I’ve tried to turn off everything that could possibly be a power draw at night but apparently haven’t been successful. My key fob is broken (not dead, I have replaced the battery) and does not transmit at all, so I have to use the key slot in the cupholder. I’ve been doing this for months with no issue.
Here’s the weird thing, this morning I got in my car and the dash lights were off and I watched the console screen turn off in front of me, no power. It wasn’t unexpected, so I went inside to grab the keys to a different car, and when I came out the headlights were on on my fusion (?????) but by the time I got the key and got back out there it was off again and wouldn’t start and I couldn’t get any lights to turn on. So wtf?
My wife drives out 2019 fusion SE and is "wishing" that she had heated and cooled seats since our model doesnt. Im no stranger to interior swaps, ive done them on many ford trucks but never theor cars so are the lower models able to be "upgraded" without major changes? I know the ford trucks come with all the wiring and ability to habe the luxury features since all trim packages have the same wiring but does anyone know how it all works in these fusions or have any tips/tricks. Thank you much!
So my 2017 just got the infamous coolant intrusion issue the other day and it doesn't look like I have any good options from here. The spark plugs are burnt into the sockets and unable to be removed, and my warranty is long expired. I can either pay >$5k for an engine block replacement or try and sell the car for whatever it's worth.
Any advice here is much appreciated, is it better to repair or sell?
Do you guys think they will total this? The axles bent can't even turn the wheel.
