2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid – Check engine light came on twice for ~3 days each within a month (P013A) + transmission fluid at 90k?

Hi all, I have a 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid with about 91,000 miles.

Over the past month, my check engine light has come on twice. The first time it stayed on for around 3 days and then disappeared on its own. A few weeks later, it came back and again stayed on for about 3 days before going away.

I scanned it while the light was on and the only code was P013A. The car has been driving normally with no noticeable issues.

Has anyone with a Fusion Hybrid experienced this intermittent P013A code? What ended up being the cause, and did you have to replace anything?

Also, I'm at ~90k miles and, as far as I know, the transmission fluid has never been changed. Would you recommend changing the eCVT transmission fluid now? Should I just do a drain-and-fill and avoid a flush?

Thanks!

2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid – P013A code (90k miles). Safe to drive? O2 sensor or something else?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 90,400 miles. My check engine light came on (solid, not flashing).

I scanned it and got:

Code: P013A

No other codes.

The car:

Drives completely normal.

No rough idle, misfires, loss of power, or noticeable drop in fuel economy.

I checked the freeze frame and live data:

Coolant temp: 79°C

RPM: 1131

Speed when code set: 104 km/h (65 mph)

STFT: 0%

LTFT: -3.1%

O2 Bank 1 Sensor 2 voltage: around 0.425 V

Has anyone had this code on a Fusion Hybrid?

Was it just the downstream O2 sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 2), or did it end up being wiring, an exhaust leak, or the catalytic converter?

Would you continue driving it until I can get it repaired?

Thanks!

Anyone living at Lerner Oxford Square at White Flint?

Hi everyone,

I'm considering renting at Lerner Oxford Square at White Flint in North Bethesda and wanted to hear from current or recent residents.

A few questions:

  • How has your overall experience been?
  • Is the community safe, especially at night?
  • How responsive is the maintenance team?
  • Are there any recurring issues (noise, pests, parking, management, etc.)?
  • Is there a good sense of community? Are there many young professionals or Indian families living there?
  • Would you recommend it over other garden-style apartments in the North Bethesda/Rockville area?

For context, we are a couple, one got job in Gaithersburg and the other works in Tysons, so we're looking for a safe, quiet, garden-style community with a reasonable commute for both of us.

Thanks in advance for any insights!
