2019 Fusion turning itself on and off
I recently bought a 2019 Ford Fusion, and it's been a nice car, I love the way it drives, and a huge upgrade from the beat up van I used to drive.
However, it seems to turn itself on in the morning. As in, with seemingly no input, the engine will start itself. It will also turn itself off eventually. Originally, I didn't believe this since the person who reported it to me was my crazy sister, but I recently verified that, yes, it turns itself on even when the keys are in a controlled environment and not being touched. Furthermore, I am unaware of a remote start feature.
I would like to know what could be causing this, if I need to call Ford, the dealership, or if I can fix this on my own. It's not as urgent of a problem since I park outside so I'm not concerned about fumes. Still, I would like to get this fixed sooner rather than later.
