Do I swap my wheels?
Right now I’m running these American Racing AR23s, but I picked up a set of AR62s in practically mint condition with the original boxes and center caps.
What’s the better look?

is this gonna be impossible to get repaired under warranty?
I ordered a part (a side step for a Wrangler) from Quadratec, and received it in reasonable time. However, when I opened it, it was obvious that someone else had returned it, and it had been put back into inventory without being checked.
The instruction book was torn up. The bag of nuts/bolts/washers was opened, and stapled back shut, and most of them were missing, and the individual parts were all just rattling around in the large box, and were scratched up.
The scratches are not a big deal since, y'know, it's something I'm going to be stepping on many times a day, but I'd still like to receive something in new condition or have a restocked discount of some kind. But the missing installation hardware is the larger problem.
Anyways, my question is, what's been your experience with Quadratec customer service? Can I expect them to make good on this? I've not heard back from them, but it's only been a few hours, and I've never had this kind of a situation with them before, and it's *definitely* not what I've come to expect from them.
Edit: Once I found the phone number, and called, they *IMMEDIATELY* shipped out the missing hardware. They offered to send me a whole new kit, but that seemed overkill and also would necessitate the hassle of shipping this stuff back.
So, color me impressed with the customer service.
Currently have a 2013 Wrangler Sport, want to upgrade a little to a newer model. Live in Colorado so going to trails and hiking is a big thing, want to get her trail rated too through Jeeps system.
Do I get a Sports, or a Willys?
I figure I can upgrade bumper, tires, winches, and get diff lock on Sports, or do I go Willys and make the necessary changes. Ideally would like to keep her manual and maybe thinking leather, thoughts on pros cons.
Current specs; 2013 Wrangler sport, 33s, 3 inch lift, cloth, hard top.
I’m shopping for a 2026 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X, and the majority on local dealer lots come with Sky One Touch. Before pulling the trigger, I’d love some real world feedback from anyone who’s lived with this compared to a standard hardtop. It will be used for road trips with a rooftop cargo box and occasional offroading.
Specifically, how is highway wind noise? If you run a rooftop cargo box, how limited are your crossbar options? Is it more of a risk offroading (tree limbs, damage, etc.)? Lastly, have you run into any leaks or track issues over time? Thanks!
Purchased brand new, after 6 years, no major issues. Maintenance matter ✌️
I'm regearing my Chrysler 8.25 to 4.56 gear and I'm wondering if my pattern is good or not? Any help is really appreciated.
Last night my 2000 Sahara passed on. The engine has over 200k on it, and her time death was 9:03pm.
I’ve had an offer of $8k to buy a new crate engine and install. (I started looking a few months ago after a mechanic father in law said it doesn’t have much time left.)
Does $8k sound reasonable? Of course I’ll shop around, but I just wanted to know if there was any words of wisdom on the next steps.
(FYI My father in law went the Pugh the engine a few months ago. He is not in good enough health to take this on. If I decide to go through with it, he’s not an option.)
Thanks
At what point do we decide to truss the axles?
Is it something that we do ahead of time or is it something that we do in response to an event? It would make sense that it’s something that we do to prevent any damage from happening to begin with.
2022 Gladiator Rubicon on 37’s and beadlocks. Daily driver. Still on stock steering.
Any idea what could it be? It’s doesn’t to it all the time but today it did. Usually it’s only the door alarm and warning that happens
I hope you wake up every morning and stub your toe.
This is for a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L
I would truly like to know the thought process behind this. It’s bad enough Jeep only put a keyed lock on the driver door but with a completely dead battery how are you supposed to move your power seat all the way forward to remove the battery?
Just getting the plastic panel off was hard enough, I managed to get it off along with getting the terminals disconnected which took longer than it should have. I have a charger on it now so hopefully it’ll take a charge. If not I’ll have to crawl through the back, unload everything that’s currently in the back so I can open the lift gate because no power means no way to unlock the lift gate so I need to open from the inside, just so I can go under the floorboard and get my jump pack (in hindsight not the best place to store it). With that I hopefully can jumpstart the car so I can move my front seat forward enough to remove the battery.
Am I missing something or is this truly the best that Jeep could come up with?
Hot take:
No ducks? I respect it.
No wave? I respect it.
Ducks with no wave? That’s a 🍆 move.
Thoughts?
Got her for 3800. 6 cylinder with 185k miles and the same owner for over 20 years. I drove her about 60 miles all around with no issues. went to back it down my long driveway and unfortunately had some repeated clanking when driving in reverse. not sure what that is yet… hoping nothing major but nonetheless seems like a good price for 3800
Was looking for a project car to do some wrenching and take it out to the desert on weekends. Found this TJ locally for $2,800 talked down to $2,000. Frame has surface rust but it’s solid, gave it some stabs with a screwdriver all over. Needs new front fenders, new Power steering high pressure line, and a cat back muffler. Got that fixed for $1200 and have about $5,000 left to work on it.
Its a 5speed manual, unfortunately it’s the 4 cylinder but couldn’t pass for the price
