Coffee bar

Anyone know how they make their mochas at the coffee bar? They’re always the best compared to any other coffee place around me which is wild to say but I want to make them at home and save money

Just painfully shit myself because of the wholefoods bbq meat loaf

What the fuck is in the meatloaf? I usually don’t eat from the Whole Foods hot table but I didnt eat all day for a blood test and it was the only thing I had. I was on the subway and started feeling stomach pains and extreme bloating. By the time I got home my underwear was covered in shit This was the Whole Foods on flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn.

Health food items being replaced with conventional products

Can we discuss the elephant in the room? Over the last few months, Whole Foods has been removing health food SKUs and replacing them with hundreds of SKUS of conventional products, like Daisy Sour Cream, Splitz pretzels, and Grapenuts. The dairy alternatives have been slashed in every category. No more myokos cream cheese, no more Violife Brick cream cheese. Removing forager project vegan cheeses. Removing carob chips and carob powder. Removing spudsy chips and replacing them with cheese and caramel popcorn. Removing all the electrolyte drinks and replacing them only with 365 and Vitamin water. Gone are hand in hand hand soaps. I can go on, and on, and on. I would know becaude I’ve spent over $30,000 there over the last 4 years. I have MCAS. I can no longer walk in the soaps and candle aisle because their candles are loaded with scents. They are systematically dismantling the largest chain health food store in front of our eyes and I haven’t seen anyone talking about it.

Edit: okay apparently they’ve always had Cheerios. Substitute in Grapenuts,Parmcrisps, Pretzel Crisps, Fage Yogurt, Truff mayo, Foxly Dragonfruit body wash😷, wild cherry espresso soda, Philadelphia cream cheese

Bell and Evans chicken

Hi all, has anyone been having issues finding the large packs of Bell and Evans skinless chicken breast? I've looked at a few different Whole Foods around me and they are completely wiped out. I asked someone in the meat department and they are saying it's a vendor issue, that they order them but nothing comes in. I'm not sure if it's just my area (Central NJ), a Whole Foods problem, or a Bell and Evans problem.

I don't trust Whole Foods wild salmon anymore.

Something awful has happened to the 365 frozen sockeye salmon portions in the last five years. The quality has been going downhill for awhile, but now I can't even eat it because it tastes so strong of chlorine along with being on the edge of spoiled. The supplier is most definitely treating it with chlorine, there is no doubt about it, it's almost like eating a pool tablet. It is only adding to the taste and not masking the taste of fish going bad. The color is suspiciously extra vibrant looking, so I suspect they are also adding dye to it of some kind to make it appear redder and fresher to attract customers. I feel there is something sacred about wild fish, it is a special foodto be grateful for and to have it chemically treated this way with no concern for customers health is just sad.

including this video of what I think is happening:

And this article from the New York Times on deception in wild salmon:

During Craft's two-week testing, it determined that the controlled sample and the one from Eli's had more than 60 percent of the form of astaxanthin that occurs naturally, within the range of 50 to 80 percent typical for wild salmon. All the other samples except the one from Whole Foods had 30 percent or less of the form dominant in wild salmon. The sample from Whole Foods had 37.9 percent. The farmed samples tested high in either the synthetic or the yeast forms of astaxanthin. “

what are your favorite items at the hot bar or prepared food?

i usually try to make a stop every couple weeks to get lunch or just a snack. i absolutely love the smoked mozzarella pasta salad it is soo good. i also tried the mac and cheese (i remember having it when i was younger and loving it but i think they changed the recipe because it wasn’t as good last time i had it), alfredo pasta (it was good), chimichurri pork (decent), and the meatballs with rosa sauce (they were pretty good). i’m always interested in trying new foods so i’d love to hear what you guys like!

Online orders / Amazon vs WF

I’ve been ordering Whole Foods delivery through the Amazon app for years but in the last couple months I’ve noticed that Amazon seems to be competing against Whole Foods and offering the same item cheaper.

Organic limes 1 lb on Amazon $2.98

Organic limes 1 lb on Whole Foods $4.99

Any thoughts on what this is about and where they’re going with it?

Why were 3 of my 4 Amazon return packages opened at Whole Foods?

I’ve returned plenty of Amazon items at places like UPS and Kohl’s, and no one has ever opened the packages before, so I wasn’t sure if this was normal or if there was a reason for it. Is opening the packages standard procedure for Amazon returns at Whole Foods, or was this just specific to my return?
