Wife had to run into a store, my daughter and I just sat and enjoyed some Bluey.
Never really have the chance to use the YouTube app but works great when trying to kill some time. A great feature, good job Ford.

Am i really the only one who has had a complete mechanical failure of the 8F35 transmission that’s in this and the mavericks mine failed at 120,000 i was born in a era where you could drive the heck out of cars properly maintained for 300k had a 89 Eddie Bauer edition bronco and it was indestructible. Admins delete if you think this is a repetitive post but I’m not getting any real answers so far. Service writer told me engineer told him they are meant to fail at 100k and per fold service manual they aren’t supposed to be serviced till 150k what the heck
I have the stock continentals on my 2025 Bronco Sport Badlands. I’m thinking I’ll have to replace those in the next 3-4 months. Current tire size is 225/65/R17. I’m interested in the 235/65/R17 Falken Wildpeaks. Has anyone ever had an issue with their powertrain warranty being honored after going up a size? And should the transmission be recalibrated for the different size or is that difference small enough that it won’t matter? Any performance reviews of the Wildpeaks?
Bummer..Got this just tonight and of course it had to be right near the shoulder. Debating whether I should patch it as I have a kit. However, think I know the answer already...
This is my first time having a SUV and a Ford Bronco. It’s a great vehicle. Perfect for the summer. I love the shape, body and design.
It’s compact and smooth to drive. That’s awesome it’s made for off-roading. I love being outdoors. I love the various driving modes. I got a great deal on it from a local dealership I’ve used before. 0 money down and 97,000 miles. I’ll get a lot out of life out of it.
It’s the Sport Outer Banks edition. It’s the Area 51 color. I love it. I love blue and I love aliens so that works great for me. It’s a 2021 that was previously owned. It looked brand new to me, my mom and my friends and others I showed it to. It’s in great shape.
Definitely an awesome way to start the summer. I’m very thankful for it. 🙏🏽
New 2026 Badlands. What are these 1 2 3 buttons on the driver’s door?
Can’t find it in the manual.
Thanks.
Might have taken an hour longer driving the dirt roads but the views were well worth it. Having never driven this route before the peace of mind knowing the badlands can handle some pretty rough stuff was great.
I went through the full 2026 Bronco Sport build sheet, and the lineup makes a lot more sense once you see how it is structured.
The 4 trims run from $31,845 (Big Bend) to $37,265 (Badlands), but they do not just stack up in a straight line. The Big Bend and Heritage are basically the same vehicle mechanically. Both get the 1.5L EcoBoost (180 hp), standard 4x4, and HOSS 1.0. Heritage just adds the retro 1966 styling and standard all-terrain tires.
Then the top two split hard:
One thing worth clearing up: a lot of people assume the Badlands comes with leather. It does not. The standard seats are ActiveX, Ford's wash-friendly synthetic, which actually makes sense next to the rubberized floors. Leather is optional.

I’ve had quite the year with cars and need some advice. I had a 2022 big bend that was totaled in a car accident (not my fault) which was very traumatic for me. It really did save me and I felt protected in the car so getting another one was a no brainer. I got a 2025 big bend and after having it for 5 months someone pulled out in front of me and I hit them. I was really embarrassed and upset about another accident even though this wasn’t my fault again. The car got repaired and I was glad it didn’t get totaled but now I’m kind of wishing it did. It drives SO bumpy and rough now and it never did before the accident. I took it to ford and they said everything was fine. Took it to another mechanic and they checked tires and suspension and said everything was fine too. They did balance my tires and I was hopeful that would help but it did not. I’m actually thinking now it has subframe damage that they didn’t detect. I was going about 45 mph when I had to brake so I did hit the car pretty bad. I even had my mom drive it (she used to drive a Bronco sport) and she was even said she could feel every bump or crack in the road so that’s not normal! Feels like I’m driving a jeep honestly!
So now I’m actually just wanting to trade it in even though I know I’ll lose some money. It’s frustrating because a lot of people will say cars never drive the same after an accident. I’ve been looking at the 2025 badlands as I keep seeing on here that it’s more reliable long term due to the better engine. I’m trying to decide if this is the best route. I am waiting on my diminished value claim to get settled so it will help with buying a new one. The last place I took it to said I should take it to the place that did the repairs and I guess that could be my last effort to see if it’s fixable. What would you do? I’ve just been so stressed this year with all this car stuff and on top of it the resulting pain from the accidents 😭
So I will be driving a little over 800 km of continuous forest service roads next week in north western BC and southern Yukon, what drive mode do people use for rougher dirt roads, ours have lots of pot holes and frost heaves.
I’ll also be driving about 3500 km of highway and tar/chip roadway so we’ll see how the fuel economy is in eco mode for that, I’ll be carrying extra fuel.
I’m wondering if I should get rid of my 25
badlands when the warranty is up? All I’ve heard is horror stories from people with this car from water pump issues to turbo/ transmissions going out. I’m wondering if I should of bought a Toyota instead 😭
Took the spouse and dog up to the Williams Fork Reservoir to escape the fireworks back home. Hot and sunny during the day, but getting under 40° F at night. Glad I brought my thicker sleeping bag. Happy weekend to the rest of ya'll!

Under the rear, passenger side of the airbox on the 1.5L dragon. It appears to be a stem about 3-4” tall capped with a rubber cap. The cap on mine seems to be covered in oil (my Quicklane overfilled my oil and a different Quicklane told me not to worry about it). My car has been making a sputtering sound when accelerating and I think I’ve finally isolated the sound to here.
Doesn’t look much but i just got 70% ceramic tints on the windshield and not sure If I should’ve got 50% on them. More so for the looks of it with benefits of ceramic as a bonus. But again i also stay in Arkansas where i feel cops need a reason to pull over. Just that i have never seen 50% tints or not sure what to compare to.
I was talking to some guy about cars and specifically about rims and I showed him a picture of mine and he said mine look silly! Honestly in my opinion I like them a lot and if he thinks they look bad then what doesn’t?
A couple weeks back my wife called me coming home from work, she had been hit by someone leaving the parking lot at her work as she was driving back by after picking up one of our dogs from daycare. Took me a bit to get to that side of town, but I was blown away by how well the bronco held up - the toyota that hit her was a total loss, frame rails pushed over and everything forward of the strut towers was just a mess, bumper beam mangled.
The bronco sport was hit right in the front right wheel at a perpendicular angle, so my wife lost steering control and was pushed up on the walkway before coming to a stop. No injuries thankfully. The damage to the BS was everything on that suspension corner, so far about $5k estimated between the wheel/tire, strut, control arm, upright, CV, tie rod and steering rack - but I'm just blown away by how well the bronco handled it all things considered. My wife had slowed down for a car turning right into the parking lot (which the car that hit her assumed no one was behind that car despite the BS being very visible). I'm glad it wasn't at the posted speed for the road, this might have worked out very differently.
Their insurance was a nightmare to deal with but having dashcam of the incident really saved our bacon here. We had a 2021 BS OB, and I remember that truck getting $8k of damage from a bit of blown out tire getting kicked up by a truck on the highway (hit the lower radiator area and just destroyed everything) so I thought these little CUV's had a glass jaw - we loved them though and with the BS BL being a bit beefier (and a far better driving experience) we traded up last year. Bummer to have a hit on the car at 12,000 miles, but glad there's no bodywork involved (maybe a bit of bumper plastic - we're not sure yet as it was pretty dirty from all the radiator fluid kicked up out of the toyota. So my opinion on the toughness of these things is coming around.
The toyota was very lucky my wife didn't take the 2011 F150 Raptor that day (her main vehicle) as it would have been up and over .
Been in my 23’ BB for about 2 weeks now and loving it 🐶!!! Looking to change out some lights/indicators but just get some general mod inspo 👀
2024 BS BB. Looking to upgrade tires from stock 225/65-17 to at least 235/65-17. Want more aggressive tread with low noise if possible.
Don’t really know what to do for this dent it’s in a very weird place and I have no clue how it happened too
