Harry got his first paint chip today. Paint pen?

Looking for opinions on this one. Just under 2,000kms and my 2026 Badlands got its first paint chip high up on the hood. Looks to be down to bare metal. While not that big I'd like to get it fixed whether by myself or professionally. My thinking is to go the paint pen route as this is likely just the first of many but I'm curious what others takes are?

And for those of you that have gone the paint pen route, how hard is it to do yourself and have it look half decent? Any tips??

Sasquatch sighting in the Canadian Rockies

Wasn't about to let some wild fire smoke keep me from taking Harry the badsquatch on his first rip to the Rockies. Took a drive out to the Columbia ice fields for some much needed time away from the city and to try out the 2.0L. Overall was a blast and the Badlands handled itself just fine

A new addition to the stable

I posted two weeks ago about being hit head-on by a drunk driver and subsequently writing off my 2025 Outer Banks with only 6,000kms. I was heartbroken as it was my first new vehicle and wasn't sure if I would get another. Don't get me wrong I loved it but naturally it made me think of the accident. After some reflection and a very generous insurance payout I decided to buy another but to get everything I wished I had with my first purchase. It did save my life after all.

Today I picked up a new 2026 Badlands SAS and I am absolutely in love!!!! The engine upgrade alone made it worthwhile but getting skid plates, offroad suspension, A/T tires, locking rear diff, bash plates and brush bar just made it feel like a completely different beast. I still miss my OB but this will certainly making the grieving process easier!

Welp she's a goner

For those of you that saw my post yesterday about how well my Bronco handled a head-on collision, I got word today. She's a total loss (No surprise!). Thank for air bags, seat belts and full replacement insurance clauses.

Went down to gather my stuff today and snapped a few more pics. I honestly dont think it sunk in just how bad this was and how luck I am until I saw it today. Also forgot I had tub of spackle in the back unsecured, my interior reminded me today LOL

Goodnight sweet prince

Some meth head sadly hit me from the driver side today doing easily 70kms/h in a 50. Luckily their vehicle took the worst of it but things aren't looking good for Brutus. Only 6,000kms on the odometer & only a week from its first birhday. My first car and it really hurts to see her in this state.

I can't help but rave about the safety of this little vehicle. This was exactly why I bought it as a new driver at the ripe old age of 40 lol. I wanted to feel as safe as possible and boy did it keep me safe. Aside from cuts to my hands, a black eye from what I assume was the airbag as well as some nasty bruising from the seat belt, I'm alive and walked away. Points to Ford!

Misson line in 1997?

Was reading the Moonwatch only book this morning and came across this bit of info. I guess we know where the inspiration for the MoonSwatch line-up came from

First Speedy Tuesday. Todays my last day of vacation, so schools in session. Time to study up on this marvel of engineering

Bought the book when I first started obsessing about the Speedtimer. Looking forward a second read through now that I finally have my very own

After years of lurking and just shortly after turning 40, I finally pulled the trigger.

I've visited multiple boutiques and ADs over the years. Tried on the Speedmaster more times than I care to admit but the time just never felt right. But now that I'm middle aged and in a good financial situation, I decided lifes just too damn short. Pictures just don't do these things justice

Bronco Sport Lego set (AI generated)

Asked Gemini AI to show me what it would look like if Lego created a Bronco Sport set. This is what it came up with. Definitely seems to have taken inspiration from the real set of the full size model

Had some Ford points to use and didn't have the slightest idea of what to use them for. Decided to pick up the Bronco branded tool kit for no other reason than its a cool accessory lol
