Seamaster Aqua Terra - 38 mm or 41 mm?

I have been saving up for a Black Lacquer Aqua Terra. I went to my AD today and luckily, they had both sizes there. I am torn between the 38 mm and the 41 mm version. My wrist is on the larger side (7.5 inches / 19 cm), but I don't like watches that look oversized. Do you think I can pull off the 41 mm or should I buy the 38 mm?

Pulled the trigger on the Speedy

I first saw the Omega Speedmaster in a magazine over 20 years ago and made a promise to myself that I would put myself in a position to buy one. That day came yesterday. Can’t stop looking at it.

Is Omega gonna redesign the Seamaster?

Since they redesigned the PO, we do believe that Omega will reimagine the Seamaster model, but when and how we don't know. I am in love with the current design and would really wish they don't change anything with the case (especially the HE valve). Maybe they could just redesign the bracelet. What do you think< maybe give an image of what would you like it to look like?

Servicing watch over time; watch not as "Original" anymore?

EDIT /TIL - well, big takeaway here is me learning about the Ship of Theseus concept!

I've been recently pondering more about watches and dug out the serviced parts of my Seamaster AT. Serviced in 2023 after purchasing new in 2014. General servicing with some movement stops here and there at the 9 yr mark. Daily wear piece - single watch. (Serviced via official Omega channel)

To me as a layman/general wearer, it seems like quite a few "visible/big pieces" have been swapped out (Crown, big movement pieces visible with the clear back). The more I think about it, does that mean each time I service my watch, the watch is effectively gutted and really only the original dial/hands are "Original?")...

Is there a way to preserve more of the original watch components while getting it serviced over time? Should I even be thinking of it from this angle?

Edit - is this amount of replacement normal for a new gen watch....?

Doesn’t exist but it should. Please make this Omega.

Took colour quality of my creamsicle planet ocean and applied it to the SMP300. Pardon the borrowed image from wherever I found it a while ago.

Had to see it in person!

I I recently visited my local boutique to check out the new gold-on-gold Moonwatch, and it was absolutely stunning!

Although I personally love the motif on the subdials with Moonshine Gold, I find myself slightly more drawn to the version with green subdials, with the green color appearing less matte compared to the gold-on-gold version.

Curious if others have seen it & what y‘all think!

Omega Planet Ocean Worldtimer: too bold or perfectly Omega?

The worldtimer complication is usually seen on dressier travel watches, but this one takes a much more rugged approach with the Planet Ocean case, ceramic look, and dive-watch presence. Curious what Omega fans think: does this work better than the Aqua Terra Worldtimer, or is it too much?

Added one more to complete the trio

Just got this Globemaster. 39mm, 6 o’clock date, jump hour movement - seems like the perfect GADA watch. I feel like it rounds out my collection pretty well. How does everyone feel about the Globemaster?

Omega dealers are just so approachable

Just sharing a little experience here

I took a quick road trip to Detroit on Canada Day and my wife and I stopped by Somerset Collection, visiting Breitling, Tudor, Rolex, and Omega.

This was just window shopping. I already own a Seamaster Diver 300M and a Santos, and my wife wanted to see watches I might consider in the future.

Breitling and Tudor seemed slightly annoyed when I asked to try on a few pieces. Rolex was polite but brief, noting most items were exhibition only.

Omega was completely different. The staff encouraged me to try on several watches, never rushed us, had great banter, and offered coffee. Afterward, my wife said, “Every time we go into an Omega boutique, they’re so nice to us.”

We’re late 20s, middle eastern couple. We do fairly well for ourselves. We generally have pretty positive experiences, but sometimes subtle interactions make you feel less welcome. We left Omega feeling genuinely valued despite not buying. I have had a string of really great experiences with Omega and I think the brand does a fantastic job of being premium but approachable.
