Tudor Prince Date+Day oder Grand Seiko Quartz

Tudor 36mm, GS 37mm

Bin auch offen für Alternativen :)

[AT vs. Club Sport] purely on looks, which one wins?

Hey everyone,

Looking to add a versatile daily sports watch to the collection and I’m torn between these two.

I know they aren’t in the same league technically or price-wise. The Aqua Terra is obviously twice the price and has the superior movement, but right now, I just want to talk about aesthetics and wrist presence.

On one hand, the Omega has that iconic teak dial and polished elements that really catch the light. On the other hand, the Nomos is so clean, thin, and has that cool, understated Glashütte vibe.

Strictly based on looks and how they wear, which one do you think looks better?

Appreciate any thoughts!

Seiko Speedtimer SSC961 vs Citizen CA4764-57A (JDM) – What am I missing?

Whenever someone asks for a solar chronograph recommendation, the Seiko Speedtimer is almost always the answer. It has a fantastic reputation, and a lot of people seem convinced it's the one to get.

While looking around, I found the Citizen CA4764-57A. It's a Japan Domestic Market model, so it doesn't get mentioned very often, but it's actually easy to import. What surprised me is how similar these two watches are.

The dimensions are nearly identical: the Seiko is 39.0 mm with a 45.5 mm lug-to-lug, the Citizen is 39.6 mm with a 45.9 mm lug-to-lug. Both have sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, a 20 mm lug width, stainless steel bracelets, solar movements, and panda-style chronograph dials.

The biggest difference is the price. I can get the Citizen for around €220, while the Seiko is around €700–750.

Since Citizen is often considered one of the leaders in solar technology, I'm curious why the Speedtimer gets recommended so much more often. Is the finishing really that much better? Does it wear better? Or is the Citizen simply an underrated JDM model?

I'd love to hear from anyone who's actually handled or owned both. Is the Seiko really worth paying over three times as much?

Seiko Prospex Speedtimer SSC961

39 mm

Solarbetriebenes Seiko V192

Panda-Zifferblatt

100 m Wasserdichtigkeit

ca. 700 €

Nivada Grenchen Autochron Mecaquartz

38 mm Cushion-Case

Seiko VK67 Mecaquartz

drehbare 60-Minuten-Lünette

200 m Wasserdichtigkeit

ca. 500–650 €

Hamilton Intra-Matic Auto Chrono

40 mm

mechanischer Automatik-Chronograph (H-31)

klassisches Panda-Design

100 m Wasserdichtigkeit

ca. 2.400 €

Vielen Dank vorab! :)

Welche soll gehen?

Any love for the previous HydroConquest generation?

39mm black dial.

Honestly never cared much for it in product shots, but in person this thing completely changed my mind. Still one of the most beautiful and distinctive divers Longines has made in my opinion.
