I’ve got some gardening to do today, so I’ll take the Expedition North Solar with me.
The Timex was a total impulse buy because I wanted a Solar Field Watch. I don’t like sandblasted cases, the lume is absolutely rubbish, the print on the dial isn’t as high-contrast as I’d like (looks better one the photo), and the second hand misses the markers so badly it’s almost an art form.
But I still like the thing somehow, even though I hardly ever wear it. 100m water-resistant, screw-down crown, screw-down case back, sapphire crystal – it feels nice to the touch again after a rough polish. Actually, it’s an ideal watch for the outdoors.

Or this Seiko 5 sport in this color way, something about the white and gray just really calls to me

My dad is a huge watch enthusiast and can get me a discount on the Hamilton down to around 700$, but still more than the Seiko

I don’t know how deep down the rabbit hole i will go, i work in health care and wear a smart watch/gps suunto daily, but have really wanting something nicer and classier to wear when I’m not at work, probably won’t get another watch for a while, but just know i want something with a steel bracelet not overly flashy but not too casual either

What’s your 1st watch?

I was very close to pulling the pin and purchasing the new 38mm Speedy! After all it’s my grail watch but the fact of the matter is I’m not quite financially in tune at the moment to drop 5.5k on a watch.

To help scratch my itch I decided to get the dual strap Lunar Pilot from my local H Samuel. Well what can I say it’s perfection and made me all giddy!

Is it a poor man’s Speedy?! Absolutely not!
Is it well made and comfortable to wear? Absolutely yes!

I feel like I’ve picked up my grail watch for a fraction of the cost!

Got the Timex MK1 today for my birthday and absolutely love it!

The 3 silver/gold on the right belong to my wife.

I’m so excited to receive my recent purchases: Bulova Super Seville in silver with a blue dial, Octopus Kraken Explorer Homage, and the Citizen Tsuyosa in 37 mm with a purple dial!

Will post all my watches here as I receive them, stay tuned!

Bought this at a flea market for $1. Put a new battery in it and it works great. Im not really a Timex fan but always liked the expedition. Need some cleaning and a new strap.
