Has anyone replaced TLX center console panel?

Has anyone replaced TLX center console panel?

Recently purchased a tlx and the center panel (black panel surrounding gear selectors) is full of deep scratches. Part is only about 50 bucks but seems difficult to replace.

Ktuner for a-spec

Hello , I have TLX 24 a-spec. Thinking about getting a ktuner but I wanted to hear from you guys.
Would I feel the difference in normal mode as well or it’s only working in the sport mode ?
Also, with stage 2, would I also have to replace the intercooler ?
Is the device need to be plugged in all the time ? I saw on youtube somebody driving with that ktuner LED screen but I wouldn’t want to. Thank you

Added a Rockford P300-10 to my 2022 Acura TLX — lessons learned about factory ELS audio, LOCs, and securing the box

I recently added a Rockford Fosgate P300-10 powered 10-inch subwoofer to my 2022 Acura TLX Technology with the factory ELS audio system. I wanted to share the experience because I learned a lot about doing a simple bass upgrade in a modern factory premium audio system.

My goal was not competition bass. I wanted clean, refined low-end that felt like it belonged in the car. The factory ELS system sounds good, but I wanted more depth and punch without replacing the whole system or building a custom trunk setup.

The setup I ended up with:

2022 Acura TLX Technology

Factory ELS audio system

Rockford Fosgate P300-10 powered 10-inch sealed subwoofer

AudioControl LOC

8-gauge OFC wiring kit

Factory battery located in the trunk

Heavy-duty Velcro on the bottom of the box

Temporary straps to keep the box from tipping forward

A few things I learned:

First, the hardest part was not choosing the sub. The Rockford P300-10 made sense for my goals because it is powered, sealed, compact, and not ridiculous for a daily-driven sedan. The hard part was figuring out the factory integration.

Second, the LOC decision mattered more than I expected. At first I thought any basic LOC would work, but with a factory premium system like Acura ELS, the real question is signal quality, bass roll-off, turn-on behavior, and how processed the factory output is. I looked heavily at the AudioControl LC1i versus LC2i Pro debate. My main takeaway is that the number of subs is not really the deciding factor. The deciding factor is whether the factory signal needs correction or cleaner integration.

Third, the trunk battery made the power side much easier. I did not need a long firewall-to-trunk power run. That simplified the install compared to most cars.

Fourth, securing the box matters. The P300-10 sounds good, but the enclosure is upright and can feel top-heavy. Heavy-duty Velcro on the bottom helps with sliding, but it does not fully solve forward tipping under hard acceleration. I’m now working on a no-drill solution using straps around solid metal structure behind the rear seat area. I do not want to drill into the car.

So far, the sound is exactly what I wanted: noticeably stronger bass, but still clean and controlled. It adds the missing low end without turning the TLX into a rattle box.

My biggest lessons for anyone doing this in a newer Acura/Honda premium system:

Do not treat it like an old-school basic sub install.

Factory signal integration matters.

Ask questions about LOC choice, bass roll-off, ANC interference, and turn-on thump.

Use OFC wiring and proper fuse sizing.

Secure the box properly, especially if it is an upright powered enclosure.

Do not rely on bottom Velcro alone if the box can tip forward.

For anyone who has done a sub install in a 2021+ TLX or another Acura with ELS: where did you pull signal from, what LOC did you use, and how did you secure the enclosure without drilling?

1st gen 4 cyl owners, do you like your car?

Interested in a first gen 2015-2020 but ideally post facelift for apple car play. I really like the idea of the dct trans and heard the one in the 4cyl is best.

Are these reliable? Any complaints? Do you have to use premium?

Thanks!

Eco mode

Been using eco mode and drove the same distance the same speed in normal and eco and it's marginal. What kind of mileage are drivers getting in other modes? So FL traffic, city driving here.

Q about inner tire wear and battery

Hi guys

I'm interested in buying a used 2025 model. I was curious if people had any experience with

  1. the inner tire wearing out faster regardless of alignment and balancing tires. This was a common issue when researching about lexus rc or is350s and I picked Acura to avoid this issues.

  2. Is there a parasitic drain problem with these cars? I noticed the previous owner had to bring his new car into the dealer almost every month since purchasing and it seemed to be to investigate the battery dying as he had it replaced and the charging system investigated.

Would value your opinion as I'm debating which car to buy.
