What’s up y’all. Excited to join the community, hoping to see and get into TLX car culture. Just got a 2017 TLX (Silver) for $7,500 with only 100,000 miles. Family friend type of situation, because KBB says it’s worth 13-15k. I’ve been impressed with the car for the last couple of weeks and have enjoyed the Acura feel. Sometimes this thing drives smooth as butter and I’m really impressed.

My other car is a ‘05 350 Z with 275,000 miles. I’ve also had a Jeep Renegade for more passenger capacity lol. Can’t fit more than 2 people and 2 backpacks in the Z.

I enjoy the car a lot, but I’ve definitely noticed some disappointments. For example, the Lane keeping feature is temperamental, and I feel does not do a good enough job to notify you that it’s gonna stop controlling the car. But I get that it is more of a feature for highway driving; you’re expected to have your hand and drive the whole time. Tbh it really put into perspective where Tesla is with their FSD. I have to remind myself, I got a nine-year-old car. I can’t be expecting CarPlay and wireless charging.

Something I did enjoy is that I could use a USB flash drive to put my favorite downloaded music on (check out What’s Happening series by >!Keifergr33n!<). Got excited that it had a HDD but then disappointed that it only remembered recent CDs. Thought that was an interesting idea.

Excited to have a car with a trunk instead of a hatch. I have a couple of 10 inch subwoofers in the Z, and was considering putting in a small box for the TLX. I would want to keep the stock stereo headunit, unless anyone has any suggestions for a double din screen that has CarPlay.

Excited to check out everyone’s cars!
