Front Camera Recall - feels worse after update

To the Tucson owners who got their car updated because of the recent front camera software update recall - have you noticed any improvement in the braking?

Me personally- I didnt see any improvements. Infact it got worse for me. My car now automatically brakes for cars which are 1 or 2 lanes away from mine. Moreover, it now breaks late and hard when there is stopped traffic ahead.

Whenever I use ACC, I always brake manually. I do not trust the car's braking ability.

Or all of this is just me??

Had Collision Avoidance update two weeks ago. Dash going blank and HUD vanishes

Never had a problem. Had update. Then Heads up display would go off and on. Load of warning lights come on. Dash would go blank. Random comes back.

Infotainment screen stays on. Map displays speed. Any fix on this known?

Bumped that I damaged our car..

Scratched my brand new Hyundai Tucson... How bad does this look and can it be repaired?

I had a really long day at work and made a stupid mistake.

To get into the courtyard of my apartment building, I have to drive through a very narrow passage. I managed to clip a large flower pot that sits right at the exit of the passage.

The result is this long scratch on the front right fender of my brand new Tucson (photos attached).

There doesn't seem to be any dent, just the long white scratch.

Do you think this is mostly paint transfer that could be polished out, or does it look like it went through the clear coat/paint?

Would a detailer be able to fix most of it, or am I looking at repainting the whole panel?

I'd really appreciate your opinions. I'm pretty upset because the car is basically new.

2022 SE Connect EGR problem

Hi all. Engine light went on last week and was scanned by a friend. It showed the code for EGR so went to dealer for appointment as it’s still under warranty. Problem is the next available schedule is a month from now. Has anyone experienced this long of a wait and is it still safe to use daily until my appointment? No other symptoms so far! (Knock on wood) Thank in advance!

Looking for advice: Sunroof sunshade came off track, dealership says whole sunroof repair is needed but Hyundai Canada won’t approve it

I’m looking for some advice or to see if anyone has dealt with a similar situation.

The fabric sunshade on my Hyundai Tucson panoramic sunroof came off its track. After inspecting it, the dealership and their body shop concluded that simply replacing the rail/tracks won’t address the underlying issue. They believe the entire sunroof assembly needs to be repaired or replaced to properly fix the root cause.

The problem is that Hyundai Canada has only approved replacing part of the rail/tracks, not the complete sunroof repair that the dealership and body shop are recommending.

The dealership is now telling me that they would try to perform the complete repair as a goodwill gesture because of the partial approval of the required parts from Hyundai Canada. However, the process has turned into a frustrating experience.

It was supposed to be a 2-day repair after the initial assessment, which has now stretched to almost two weeks, with very little communication or accountability.

To make matters worse:
* I’ve been paying for a rental vehicle entirely out of my own pocket. Insurance doesn’t cover the rental since it is related to a warranty repair.
* The dealership says they can’t help with rental costs because they’re already trying to do the repair as a goodwill gesture due to the partial approval.
* My vehicle is still under Hyundai’s warranty, and Hyundai Canada is refusing to approve the full repair that the dealership and body shop requested.
* Because of my financial situation, I can’t continue paying for the rental much longer and there is no ETA for the complete repair work yet.

I’m feeling stuck between Hyundai Canada, the dealership, and the body shop, with nobody taking ownership of the situation.

Has anyone experienced something similar with a panoramic sunroof or sunshade issue? Were you able to get Hyundai Canada to approve the full repair? Is there anything I should be doing next—escalating to Hyundai Canada, involving consumer protection, or something else?

I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences from others who have gone through this. Thanks in advance.

BRAND NEW HYBRID: Owned for 4 weeks, 2 of which it’s been inoperable.

Picked up my brand new 2026 Hybrid N Line June 4th. By the 22nd it had to be towed back to the dealership. Two weeks later, they tell me it needs a whole new EV/Transmission system, a $16,000 repair (THANK GOD FOR WARRANTY). But what the hell! This isn’t normal is it? Am I crazy to be asking for a goodwill extended warranty or discounted extended warranty?

New car

So I’m getting a check from my insurance for my total loss. I wanted to wait for the new Hyundai Tucson coming out because it’s a new design. But I’ve heard never buy a first year new design because of some problems. I have a Flexcar right now which is a month to month lease. My question is should I buy a new car now and sell it in a few years when the Tucson has fixed its problems or keep doing this Flexcar or a short leased car?

DCT Error Code

2026 Tucson Hybrid - got this error code today after driving through heavy rain/flooded roads.

Wife and I were traveling back home today and got caught in some severe thunderstorms and heavy rain. When we made it back home we did have to slowly drive through some flooded street sections but the car handled very well the entire trip.

About an hour later the weather calmed down and we headed out again, and about 2 min of leaving our house the check engine light came on, followed by a hybrid system error. Turned the car off, continued to drive but the car was not really responding to the throttle, but we were till able to drive it. Turned back home and now it’s sitting the garage. Already have an apportionment set for next Wednesday for a recall notice and oil change so will be tacking this on for them to check out at the dealership.

Anybody else have this error code before?

*flooded sections were not extreme. Road was still visible. Water did not come near floor of car so water level was not super high.

Just received notice of FWC recall and local dealership can’t fit me in for a month

Am I crazy in thinking this is entirely unacceptable? I can understand that the dealerships now have a huge influx of recalls to service because of this, but A MONTH?!

If it were another recall like something to do with the tilt of the headlights, or even the instrument cluster recall, a month wouldn’t bother me. The fact that my car may suddenly brake when it shouldn’t be, and you’re going to take a MONTH to fix that? This is downright dangerous. I drive my one year old around and this is freaking me out a bit.

Considering the danger of this recall, one would think they’d prioritize servicing it. Or, to my understanding, the fix is literally just an update. Why can’t you just send the update to my car (like every other update) and have me pop in to make sure everything loaded correctly?

This is ridiculous. I’ve always loved my Hyundai’s but this is seriously making me reconsider future purchases.

End rant. 🙄

Phone Overheating on Wireless Charger

Anyone have tips or tricks they use to keep their phones cool when using the inbuilt wireless charger? Between the heat generated by the charging process and the summer sun, I'm finding my phone gets so hot it actually stops the charging process. I've been plugging my phone in and stashing it in the shade when I remember to, but it's hard to beat the convenience factor of just being able to put my phone down on the pad when I get in the car.

Surely this was a forseeable issue for the designers of the car, why not put the charger out of direct sunlight?

help with front radar sensor

My tucson had some safety warnings pop up on the dashboard recently so I took it in to the dealership to see what was up with it and turns out the front radar sensor broke and they claim that a car must have hit my front bumper even though they said there is no damage to the front bumper at all which sounds suspicious to me and they want $3,000 for a new sensor.

After doing some research this part can be easily covered under warranty if it breaks on its own but if it breaks from an accident than it wouldn’t be covered under warranty.

I’m just looking to hear some of your opinions if people actually think this part broke from another car hitting my front bumper even tho there’s no damage or to see if people think this dealership is just trying to screw me.

Trim Question for '26 Hybrid Limited

Hi, all! I recently purchased a 2026 hybrid limited and am a bit confused about the trim. This is my first Hyundai, so I wasn't aware of their Night trims. I have an Ecotronic Grey Tucson with the grey/green interior. My headliner is black, which I thought was interesting since nothing else is really black on the inside, and Hyundai's website shows a lighter headliner.

I got a little notice in the mail from the dealership I purchased my car from and it mentioned my car being the Night trim (which is how I fund out it was a thing at all lol). However, when I looked up the Night trims, there is more than just the black headliner. The wheels and the side silver trim are supposed to be blacked out as well, however, my car isn't like that. Just wanted to see if I'm maybe misunderstanding something.

I did look at the original window sticker just to see if it maybe mentioned the Night trim, but it doesn't. Apologies in advance if this is a silly post/question.

Tucson hood vibration >160 km/h

Hi everyone, I have a 2024 Tucson Nline PHEV. I live in the Netherlands and visit Germany regularly. I've noticed that the hood starts to vibrate visibly above 160 km/h. I've already checked the hood, but it rests neatly on the support rubbers and I can't move it when I press on it. Are there other Tucson drivers who experience this at high speed?

Leakage at the back of the car

I bought this tuscon hybrid limited 3 months back. I noticed this leakage this morning. Took this video from the back of the car. When I smelled, it felt like water.

Does anyone know what it is and if it is concerning?
