Hello everyone I'm looking for a service manual for my Yamaha DT 125 Ténéré. Since it's both an old and rare motorcycle I can't find the manual online for my model and I was hoping someone might have a pdf or might have the actual manual. The exact model is a 1990 Yamaha DT 125 (lc2 I believe) ténéré Chesterfield scout. I'm trying to fix some electrical problems but one of the previous owners messed up the wiring so much it's physically painful to even look at it let alone try to fix this ungodly abomination.
What do you guys think about these winglets on an R15?
I know winglets on a smaller 155cc bike aren’t really going to make any meaningful difference performance wise . I mainly added them because I liked how they look and wanted to try something different.
But I’m not 100% sure about the fitment/look. Should I keep them or just remove them?
Would love some honest opinions from fellow riders !!
Have an 08 roadstar warrior 1700 and she died on the highway this morning. I was ripping along and she started to lose power so pulled the clutch and gave her some gas and died. I coasted to a stop. Did a diagnostic and the voltage said 11.9. That wasn’t cranking or running that was just with the ignition on. I hit start and all I get is a loud clicking from the stater solenoid under the seat and clicking at the starter. I don’t know how a failed starter solenoid would cause it to do on the highway?? Any help would much appreciated.

Your opinion on this gang? :/
Adjusted the chain for the first time and didn’t jam these tensioner nuts hard enough, can’t seem to find the right parts online so any help would be fantastic! Won’t make that mistake again and I know I need to clean my chain 😅
Hello motorcycle people. I need a bit of advice on a gift my siblings and I are hoping to get my dad.
He used to ride this type of motorcycle a while back before he got into a crash. Growing up, he had a part of what remained framed in the garage (I think the red part between the handlebars and the seat?), but it was lost in the move.
If we were to try and get a replacement part to frame, what would be a good one to look for? Open to other related gift ideas too!
Looking for the best mods that would be easy enough to plug/unplug to my 2026 MT-09 SP to make it into a livable sport touring when needed for few hours of highway riding and back roads combo.
Anyone who’s done something like this? Appreciate tips of best wind protection, baggage and other stuff.
Bought a 97 Yamaha Royal Star as a project, looks like there's a couple pieces messing off the carb for the choke. I was wondering if anybody knew where I could find them?
I have an 02 xvs650 and I just got done with an hour long ride and then got off to see smoke coming from the exhaust head and what looks like could be something leaking from the engine? Just wanted to see if anyone knows what could be up with it, thanks
I got new fairings for my 2005 R6, wondering if I put on enough heat shield? There’s a few open spots. Let me know! Just looking for simple feedback. Thanks!
Mods include: crank, rods, pistons, bearings, valve adjustment, thin head gasket, adjstable cam sprockets, adjustable cam tensioner, degreed cams.
Pulling the fairing off of the bike and this just dropped out before I could get it off any ideas of where it belongs?
I got a FZR 1000 with the EXUP system a few months ago and since found out that the bike was detuned back in the days through adjustments in fuel flow and exhaust to lower insurance premiums. (I don't know why anyone would buy a litre bike in the first place if the intention is detuning, it makes no sense).
The bigger issue is, the bike is losing power at around 135 mph or 200 kph, I do hear some pops from the exhaust and I've some minimal power while the bike is losing speed, usually it lasts about a minute then it's back to normal just until I try to cross the same speed barrier where it then repeats the whole thing.
AI says could be carbon build up causing stuck valve or EXUP wiring, or issues with the EXUP motor. However, I can hear the EXUP when I turn on the bike before starting it as I should be able to.
If anyone else experienced the same or knows the fix please let me know.
Thank you all so much.
I got a call from my dealership about the recall for the mt09 for a tps issue and an ecu flash..I took it in because it did have a slight stutter/hesistation crusing around 3000rpm I picked it up today and it was completely unrideable…felt as if it was falling on its face up to 4k rpm and then would take off like a bat out of hell and I wasn’t able to change the ride modes or go into my setting so I rode it back to the dealership and they are saying it’s because my o2 sensor is bad…doesn’t make any sense to me but I’m not a motorcycle mechanic by trade or some master mechanic just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this issue or can give me more insight on the real issue
Does anyone have any idea where I can get a seat like this or something similar? Apparently it lowers the seat hight by 10mm. That little bit would allow me to flat foot the bike. I searched online but all I could find are these seats for 2015 and above. I have a 2012. Was wondering if anyone knew where I can get one or maybe get a custom one made.
The only other thing I can think of is buying a used factory seat on eBay or something and trying to rework that one by taking off the foam and using something else. That just seems like a ton of work. I’d rather just buy one if it’s available.
I’d appreciate any advice. Thank you
