I'm trading or selling a 2022 Altima 2.5 SV AWD with the premium package. It has 10800 miles on it, its garage kept, all scheduled maintenance performed at the dealership.
It has damage to the front passenger side bumper where I scraped a curb. Very good condition otherwise other than needing a quick vacuum which I will do.
Carvana offered $19,000
CarMax offered $18,400
I went to see about trading it in for a new car at a dealership and the sales manager offered $15,500.
I told him about the offer and he said that's because they haven't seen the damage. I did report the damage on my quote requests, so the offers are not for a pristine vehicle.
My thought was that it shouldn't cost more than $1,000 to fix and it looks like they are selling for $22k.
I figure you can repair body damage, but a car with such low mileage would be a dream to sell.
Am I being naive about the impact this damage will have on what I can sell it for? If I go to Carvana in person are they going to lop off a couple thousand dollars?
Sup This is my Altima I want to get some 18 or 19 wheels. What’s y’all’s setup or what y’all recommend I’m looking for guiadence and to see some example thank you y’all have a good one !!
I asked my service advisor to order me some NS-2 from Nissan for my 2011 Altima, and this is what was delivered. He ordered from NAPA, I’m just wondering if this is ok to use, or if I should ask for the Nissan fluid.
I’ve got a 2009 Nissan Altima. CVT transmission with 202k miles on it. Some times when I’m driving I will go to accelerate and I’ll push the pedal and get nothing. The engine doesn’t rev. I get absolutely no reaction. Then I’ll park my car for like 10-15 and it’s back to normal. It doesn’t do it every trip. Maybe 1 of every 10. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
I'd like to replace the headlights of my 2007 Altima. Who is a good source (not the dealer) of headlights that aren't going to fog in a couple of years?
So I have a 2012 Nissan Altima coupe 2.5S and I can't get the TPMS light to turn off. All 4 sensors were replaced and the shop I took it to said that they can't get the light to turn off because it's not picking up the sensors but the batteries are fine in them. I tried the manual way of resetting it by putting all the tire pressures at different levels then finding and grounding the tpms connector under the driver side dash multiple times but can't get it to go into relearn mode to where it starts flashing. I also replaced the tpms receiver antenna and that did not work either. Has anyone else had this issue? If so what did you do to fix it? TIA
2010 Nissan Altima 2.5s with 221,000 Miles Maintenance up to date.
What should I add or change
drop a pic below of your altima!!👀🔥 i wanna see other modded altimas
Bought this literally hours ago for 10k and under the hood it has a very high pitch noise that’s constant and I’m not sure if it gets louder with acceleration to further diagnose it as the cvt because when I accelerate it makes the sound it does in the second video.
EDIT
To clarify on the questions about not testing it more/having the carfax, If you care to read here goes nothing.
I’m 20 years old and I got my license back in January due to a legal issue from when I was literally 14 years old. Me and my dad agreed way before this or January that however much I saved towards buying my first car he would match it and HELP (Key word) buy it, like walk me through the process and no it wasn’t a miscommunication he himself said that word for word.
Instead of HELPING me buy a car. He said “I got a buddy who sells cars don’t worry” the “buddy” who apparently used to come over when I was a toddler. Sold me a bunk piece of shit 05 Trailblazer with an extended cab that looked SLIGHTLY rusty underneath, not after a curb it wasn’t. Everything you can imagine holding the tires on snapped or cracked in some way due to rust rot. After a long process of getting me a “replacement” which never happened because he tried to give me one with 200k miles instead of the original one with 100k for 6 grand as I bought it for. Long stort short and a couple arguments later he stopped responding and the small claims court shall ensue.
Now, after looking at deals on so many cars that are reliable and fun such as ( 07-08 Acura TL Type-S, 5.7 hemis, Lincoln towncars/continentals and crown vicks) he hit me up out of the blue today and got me this as a replacement that I need to pay a couple paychecks off on it with. Which I’m super grateful for BUT:
I brought up the CVT several times and he chopped it up to “runs good when I drove it so I’m not worried with the mileage” so I didn’t have time to explain the whole 60k mile rule to him. Though I later mentioned to him and his girlfriend about taking it to get a transmission fluid change they basically yelled at me and said I’m gonna fuck it up because that’s how transmissions blow up is when you put fluid in it🤦🤦🤦.
So that’s why I didn’t get the paperwork or anything I wasn’t there for it but we are going to get the title and spare key on a different day. Hopefully I can ask about it then.
Sorry if this is a long read. Just trying to be thorough.
TLDR: Battery died and now the car will not start after recharging.
History:
I inherited a 2015 Nissan Altima 2.5 S with the 4 cyl engine. It has around 55K miles. Responsibly driven. Most mileage is highway miles. Car has no history of mechanical issues. It does have a parasitic draw somewhere. Never found where because with normal use, it was never an issue. Battery did need replaced so replaced with fresh, new battery.
I parked the car in the garage and only started it roughly once a week. Did this for a while because it was not my daily driver. Life was fine. I got a job that I had to travel for so it sat in the garage until the battery died unfortunately.
Problem:
Car has no crank, no start. Recharged the battery and it holds a 12v charge. Replaced both key fobs with fresh new batteries. Confirmed power is getting to the starter and alternator. I have checked every fuse and relay under the hood and all seem fine. Even checked the fuse box ports to make sure they are getting power and still checks fine. Also checked the fuse panel attached to the hot post of the battery.
No power is getting into the cab. No dome light, radio, headlights, brake lights, etc. No power is getting to the fuse box under driver side dash. I also checked these fuses and relays.
It is like power is not getting through the firewall. I’m not a mechanic by any means so any input is appreciated. Im out of ideas of what to do next outside of having it towed to a mechanic, which I would prefer not to do if possible.
My Altima lost acceleration in middle of the highway and couldn't get the ignition back again. I took it to Nissan dealership and some other local mechanics, they suggested me to change the engine since there's problems with compression and spark in the engine. Would it be worth it with $2500 total repair cost? Need opinions from here guys..TY
Hi everyone,
I own a 2015 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV GCC spec (around 290,000 km). Recently I started facing transmission-related issues — RPM suddenly shoots up while driving and comes back down, and after diagnosis I was told the CVT transmission has a problem.
The garage has suggested two options:
Before spending this amount, I wanted to check with the community:
\* Has anyone repaired an Altima CVT in UAE recently?
\* Any recommended garages or technicians who are experienced with Nissan CVT repairs?
\* Is overhaul better than installing a used transmission at this mileage?
\* Are there any reliable places for a properly tested used CVT?
\* Is there any possibility of claiming this through insurance (I have no accident, just mechanical failure), or is this normally not covered?
Would really appreciate any advice, contacts, or personal experiences. Thanks in advance!
In need of a cash car. theres a 2017 nissan altima sv with 110k miles for 9500 at a certified chevrolet dealership. Carfax shows cvt fluid changed at 85k miles. do yall think this a good buy? Daily driver to keep some miles off of my benz.
Purchased a 2025 Nissan Altima S certified with 19k miles for 22.5k OTD.
Note: is it worth adding Unlimited miles 7 year bumper to bumper for 4k and tire protection for 5 years 1.1k? Total loan would be 27.7k.
Info: I drive 30k mikes yearly and plan to keep it till 200k before getting another vehicle.
