Rotacarts...

So we just got Rotacarts two weeks ago......I hate them. They do NOT sort anything, it's so bad where I had to park my Rotacart in the middle of the store so it would be in the middle of everything. What are your experiences with them?

Also they just changed our DC to one that's only ONE state away. Explain to me why our trucks have been coming in over 6-13hours late the past two weeks?

Also, the DC doesn't sort the cases or load them safely at all, they are overfilled with the heaviest boxes on top, YET if we load our U-Boats just slightly too high then we get into trouble.....

Manager fast track question

We have a PT newer ASM that I found out had to do conference calls & stuff with the DM. I was told something like this is fast tracking management or something along those lines?

Initially was offended because I bust my ass and get 0 recognition not that I really want or need it. This newer ASM does absolutely nothing but show up.

I asked my SM about it and she said it means nothing. She had to pick someone & I didn't need the burden of more tasks/calls.

Can anyone elaborate. Is it truly extra tasks for nothing? Lol

Passive/Nice customer

So we haven't had puppy poop bags for a long time now, over two months. And a woman came up to me who was overall friendly and asked me "Do you have doggy poop bags?" And I said "No, I'm sorry I haven't seen them in months." I even walked her to the pet section and showed her where they would normally be pegged.

Then she started questioning me, which is fine whatever she first does the classic "Are there any in the back?" I simply said "no," then she asked "Are there any end caps?" I said "no, we got rid of our pet endcap a while back," then she asked "are there any markdown bins of them?" 😭 At this point I was trying to be nice but I think my smile slowly started to fade away because there are absolutely no dog poop bags, I work in freight I know what we have/don't have. So I just said "We don't."

Then she asks "Is there anybody else here that would know if you had them?" 😭🤦🏼‍♀️ I straight up told her "You can ask my boss, but he'll tell you that same exact thing I just told you because we do not have them."

At first I thought she would get the hint......SHE ASKS ANOTHER QUESTION 😭😂 asking "How long have you worked here?" And I said "I have been here for about 5 months." She goes "Is that a long time?" I told her "It's not long, but long enough for me to know what I'm doing and to know this store." Finally she says "Oh so you do know what you're doing." Yeahh.....I do......

Like I get I'm a teenager and not only that but a lot of people in general just say "We don't have that" so they don't have to go and get it. But I'm not like that.😭

Overall she was nice, she wasn't mean or anything but so many questions it felt like Jeopardy lol.

It’s so quiet today!!😍

Recovery night on the 4th of July is the bestttt

u/tinycurse — 22 hours ago

Happy 4th.

Borderline tornado winds ripped up siding, water leaked in through the door, also knocked my coworkers truck bed cover off and a few parking lot spots down, and ripped a loose piece of plastic on my car. 🫶🏼😩

Happy 4th 🥲

I was asked to, and did get this nice and straightened up, between 8 and 9, but then it got busy and stayed busy. (I’m a cashier.)
BUT, holy shit the registers SUCKED today. So slow. Freezing. I was glad to be gone before 12:30!!!

I don't work again until 6/19?

My first shift was on Tuesday. I was given the compass log in info to see my schedule and apparently I don't work again until July 19th..... The shift on Tuesday wasn't even official because the manager told me they make scheduleds three weeks in advanced and she gave that one to me just to get started. This is just a bummer bc I wanted to at least save up a little money for school. 🫠

2010’s Balloons

This may or may not be niche, but I’ve been searching far and wide for older dollar tree balloons, ones from early and mid 2010’s but I haven’t found anyone selling them, nor any dollar tree near me having any. I don’t know how to contact anyone for something like this so I’m starting with posting on Reddit.

I have had an interest in balloons ever since I was a toddler, and my mom would always get me the ones from dollar tree in the early 2010’s. If any associate, manager, or anyone that has any of these older ones, and willing to sell them please let me know! I will literally pay anything.

My plea to Dollar Tree

Hire more people! Every store I have been to in the last few weeks has tons of stock in boxes, nothing on the shelf, and two people working in the store. Yeh, I took some stock out of the boxes myself today and make some of the store look good. Your welcome!

I keep buying cheap shoes and my feet keep paying the price

been at Dollar Tree about 6 months. I work freight and sometimes register. My feet are destroyed by hour 5 every shift.

I've been buying cheap shoes from Walmart because my paycheck is tight. $25-$30 pairs. They feel okay for like 2 weeks and then the foam dies. I've gone through 4 pairs already. That's like $120 on shoes that didn't work.

I don't know if I can drop 200 on shoes. But I also cant keep spending money on stuff that doesn't work. Anyone else in this situation? Is it worth it to just save up and buy something good?

OMG!!! 😱

I just had to share that today was the first time ever in my adult life that I visited an ORGANIZED Dollar Tree!!!??? OMG!!! It was like finding a unicorn 🦄 Hahaha!!! I mean it looked like someone with OCD stocked and arranged ALL the shelves! Even the areas by the office and behind the registers were organized. And I mean with PRECISION!! It was the most beautiful thing! Having said that, I've never, in my life, expected a Dollar Tree to ever be organized. Reminds me of that M&M commercial where the old guy says, "They do exist" when referring to the M&M. I was THAT floored! 😂 Way to go Dollar Tree on Veterans Memorial Hwy! 🙌🏾
