Mule Pro FXT

I am looking at buying a mule pro for just for riding around our property with the kids, doing a small amount of hauling work. Nothing crazy, mainly just a fun way to take the wife and 3 kids on a ride occasionally on the 30 acres and back country roads around us. I was looking at the newer mule pro fxt 1000s but I just came across a 2021 800 with around 300 hours for quite a bit less money. Is the 1000 really worth the extra money? For reference the 800 comes with a winch and plow and would be around 10k.

Valuing UTV

Hello all!

I have been looking into buying a sixth seater UTV for the last month researching different options and looking at used versus new listings.

My question is what do you guys use to get a fair value for these things? I have an offer from a local dealer in Oklahoma on a Can-Am defender max XTHD 11 with the screen and with front flip up glass and rear glass installed for 25K OTD. Seems like a really good deal to me, but I’m just not sure what to base it off of other than the suggested retail and other dealer listings.

Any input on resources to use or if this is a decent deal?

Can am Denfender Hd11

Found this during my break in oil change at 25 hrs. Machine is running fine and there’s no marks on the pin indicating that it broke off of anything. Does anyone have any idea what it’s from?

How much to offer for this.

As the post says, a buddy recently inherited this Honda 700 utv. It has sat for the last 2 years and definitely needs some work. I don’t want to screw him over but I also want to get it for a decent deal since it’s going to need some work. Any suggestions on what would be a fair deal?

Ranch UTV options?

Starting to research a small ranch UTV. It is unlikely I'll use it as a fun trail machine, so 50" wheelbase not necessary. My list of "must haves" includes ability to tow small things (like my Gorilla cart), tip bed, ability to have a snow blade. Must be gas, NOT DIESEL. Ability to be street legal would be nice, but not necessary (for getting mail, short local trips).

Also, we are seriously in the boonies so it *must* be a reliable, easily maintained vehicle, with few or no problems. We are both older than 60 so I ain't kidding about "easily" - I don't bend like I used to when I could do some mech work on my old pickup.

My current shortlist, based on a short bit of research, is Kawasaki Mule, Polaris Ranger SP570, Honda Pioneer, Kubota RTCV520. Cost *is* a factor, which is why the Kubota is last - I love the brand, but not the price, lol. Experiences with these, and other makes/models I should consider are welcome.

Advice on what particulars I should be checking for used UTVs also welcome, and what make/model of used UTVs are most reliable.

If there's any other information that would be pertinent to my decision making process - that would be useful too; Totally new to me, I only learned to drive an ATV (not a UTV) a week ago - borrowing a neighbor's and now realizing just how very handy a UTV would be.

What are great all terrain tires?

I have a John Deere 825i. I don't need the knobby UTV tires. My current tires are dry rotting. I'd like a quality set of smooth riding tires. I'd even use automobile tires if I could find any.

Advice on enclosed cab with AC.

We are looking to buy a new utv. This will be used for the ranch and for shooting competitions for the kids. We currently have a few Rangers, but nothing with AC. The AC is going to be the biggest deciding factor.

I am tempted to try the Cfmoto. We’ve had good luck with our Rangers, so the Northstar is a strong contender. The other choices would be the HD11 and the 1500, but that price is really pushing my budget.

I know on most of these units you’re going to need to add tint and seal a few spaces. Just trying to get some opinions on the AC.

Used Kawasaki mule pro 1000 ranch

I bought a 5 hour Mule pro 1000 Ranch Edition. Definitely not what I was looking for but the price was right and it is essentially brand new. The guy didn’t like how fast it was and thought it was too wide for his forest trails (concern for me as well). At any rate we were at the dealer at the same time as he traded for a 4010.

I also have concerns about speed. Is there an easy way to limit speed with out installing something? I have kids and I would rather they not get crazy. Our old UTVs would only go 25 mph, which felt appropriate. I would like to do something easily reversible because I use it for work on the roads a lot.

Used prices

What in the world is with alot of the used prices in my area? People listing their five year old machines for more than what i can get a new leftover for. Do sellers just think no one checks the pricing on these things before they buy? Ugh.

24 Polaris rzr xp1000

Hey all new here I have a 24 Polaris rzr xp1000 was wondering what mileage people are getting out of clutches before a replacement or rebuild! I know everyone’s situation is different but I ride mine pretty aggressive. I do blow it out after every ride and I have scotch Brad the primary a few times especially before a new belt, but it is grooving and I’m not sure how much I could keep sanding off.

Yamaha yxz hour meter makes no

These hours make no sense. 3287 miles with 117 hours or 11.7? Second pic also has the decimal. 3082 with 99.4 miles or 994 which I doubt.

Last one also makes no sense 😂 2450 miles with 4.7 or 47 hours? So average 50mph.

Trying to buy one but the hours are a little confusing

Looking for advice on next steps

2024 X3 RS Turbo looking for advice on next steps. Should I pull the whole rack and try to see if it’s salvageable or is this something that someone has dealt with before and you may know more? I don’t mind pulling it and looking at it but if it’s a known issue, what should I expect etc..

Thanks for any help, I’m new to the UTV world but would consider myself higher than average vehicle/mechanic iQ

No crumple zones?

I get utility SXS not having crumple zones but it’s 2026 and sport sxs that can go 50+ don’t? We really can’t come up with anything better than just the frame and seat belts?

UTV tire recommendations

I have a Polaris Ranger XP Crew and the OEM tires are losing their tread, mostly in the front, I assume from turning. I have wanted to get new tires anyway but I am struggling with what to get.
We use it mostly for road riding, but I use it on our property for maintenance stuff and mulch, dirt, stone hauling. That’s all on nice grass, not any off road conditions. However I do plow my driveway with it in the winter. The OEM tires are super loud when road riding, which sucks.
Are the street tires like the Quadboss QBT846 type a good choice for my needs? I assume they will be quieter, and easier on my lawn, but will I have problems with snow plowing?

Any help from you experienced UTV owners would be appreciated!
