I grew up on the east coast and summer backyard bonfires were a ritual. I know a lot of people in LA love to hate on Dockweiler, but I really enjoyed having a fire there with my fiancée. This is the second time we’ve done it in the last week on a week night. It was a wonderful night once the wind died down. Got our pit around 4:30. Just really fun to pop open flight radar and see where planes are going when they take off. Anyway, just wanted to share something positive about the LA experience. Sometimes I think we take this stuff for granted! Ok, I’m going to go shower off the smoke smell now.

Come on, people. This is “return your shopping cart” levels of basic human decency. The critter infestation, especially with coyotes and skunks, is already bad enough up there.
