Today's job on my 2014 EXL is fixing the driver door lock. Seems like a common failure so I wanted to share the info I used to fix it.
I went OEM for the door lock actuator. Part 72150-TK8-A02 $94

Once you get the door panel off and you're trying to get that lever off, take the two round stickers off the door. They provide access holes that make it so much easier. Top one is for the level, bottom one helps with getting the key thing into the new actuator.
If you get a security code message on your infotainment when you start the van, just press and hold the volume know for 5 seconds.
Took about an hour or so, including rewatching videos. Now that I've done it once, this can easily be done in under 30 minutes.

I've been monitoring the local scrapyards in the hopes of grabbing a "new" rear gate (ours is rusted) for our 2014 and it's a bit reassuring to see that all the Odysseys that have been scrapped are previous generation.
It's fun to play around with other makes/models and see which ones are getting scrapped within 10 years. Some of these are from accidents, but you can get a feel for the longevity of the car.

Sharing as an FYI for anyone else with an older Santa Fe:
Our 2008 has been having on and off issues with vibration while driving. Subframe replaced by Hyundai as part of warranty, both control arms, and the latest round I noticed the tires were shot due to uneven wear. While swapping the tires my mechanic noticed the newest control arm looked bad and went ahead with a warranty repair only to discover the steering knuckle is cracked in two. Couldn't source one locally so we're waiting for one to arrive. Fingers crossed this solves the issue and we can keep the old beast on the road till 200k.
