The built-in Discord Rich Presence plugin for YouTube Music on Pear Desktop is currently unstable and often broken. Here is a working workaround.

Requirements:

• Glassy Music (Pear Desktop mod) https://github.com/NanKillBro/glassy-music-nankill
• YouTubeDiscordPresence (both required)
  • Chrome extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/youtubediscordpresence/hnmeidgkfcbpjjjpmjmpehjdljlaeaaa
  • GitHub release (.msi installer): https://github.com/XFG16/YouTubeDiscordPresence/releases/

Method:

1. Install Glassy Music and YouTubeDiscordPresence (extension + GitHub installer).
2. Install the Chrome extension version of YouTubeDiscordPresence.
3. Locate the extension folder: C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\hnmeidgkfcbpjjjpmjmpehjdljlaeaaa
4. Open the folder and find the version directory (example: 1.6.1_0).
5. Copy that version folder.
6. Paste it into: C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Local\Programs\glassy-music-nankill-mod\resources\extensions
7. Restart YouTube Music / Pear Desktop.

Discord Rich Presence should now function correctly.
