I’ve read about 40% of the text and it still feels like the story has not yet started. These long passages on astrology are so unnecessary technical and boring. I personally have zero interest or respect of astrology and just can’t feel sympathy to a person who is obsessed with it. Also it seems that astrology is not just the character’s weird personality feature but the author’s view which she is preaching to readers through her character. But Olga Tokaczuk is so respected and has so many awards. Maybe I’m missing something and should try to power through this book? Could you tell what you liked or hated about this book?
I live in a ground floor apartment in a village-like part of Espoo. It’s perfect but in the summer we get a lot of flies in the apartment. We love to have windows and the balcony door open so they get in easily. How do you guys fight them? I remember my parents used to hang sticky tapes but that was disgusting
