MFM/OBGYN Search - Moving

We are moving to the area in July/August timeframe. I’m currently pregnant and considered high risk due to hypertension, previous still birth, PPROM risk, and incompetent cervix risk.

I have tricare select. Referrals not needed.

My MFM has documented that I cannot go more than a week without care/being seen. She gave me a list of MFMs that have her speciality’s that she thinks would be a good fit but unfortunately couldn’t find a colleague she knew personally in that area.

To answer this question in advance: no, we cannot delay the move - so we moved it up to make the transition easier.

I’ve called multiple practices who’ve said they won’t take new patients right now. And I’ve called multiple MFMs who’ve said that I would need to get a local referral first and to get established with an OB and that anyway, they’re too full. I’ve called my insurance company who states a referral is not needed at all and that that’s incorrect and they were unsurprisingly unhelpful.

Has anyone that has moved to the area in a similar situation been able to find care without having to wait a month to get into an OB appt to get referred?

What hospitals do you recommend for labor/delivery considering the high risk situation?

And just in case there’s any I may have missed in reaching out to, what practices do you recommend?

And honestly, any information you can provide would be great. I’m at my wits end with this 😬

How to stop this

I have a SD15 who wipes her boogers underneath tables, furniture, whatever.

I’m so fed up with this BS and so is her dad.

We’ve tried buying her tissues, we’ve tried the “you can’t even sit on the couch” thing… etc.

You’re about to be 16 years old and you can’t just wipe it into a tissue you HAVE to wipe it onto something?!!!!

Have any of you guys had this issue and how the hell do we make it stop. I’m crashing out.

We are selling our home that is about 30 feet away from a train track (back of the house). It’s for a freight train that comes by maybe… 2-3 times a month at most but usually only once a month. I work from home and in the last month in a half it hasn’t came by at all. It also only comes by during business hours at some point in the middle of the day and it’s doesn’t blow its horn, goes pretty slow, and you can still have a normal level conversations inside the house with no issues. Doesn’t disturb me while I’m in meetings and doesn’t wake my neighbors kids while they’re sleeping in their mid day nap if it happens to come by. It never ever ever comes at night. We have been living here for 6 years and have at this point forgotten we live so close to it.

Unless you point it out, no one realizes that we live so close. We have a fence behind the house, and to our left, no neighbors. just a big open field with a pond and trees. We live in a culdesac and only have a neighbor to our right.

We are looking to sell our home pretty fast and do plan to sell it at a slightly lower price due to the tracks as this is only fair.

What’re some things you would do to make it marketable even with the train tracks? Is there any hope I guess is my question or will we likely be stuck in a “this is never going to sell” situation 😭
