Why do people who don’t like children move into a apartment with a family already living there?
I have rented a basement for 5 years and have a 7 year old child diagnosed with ADHD, and 2 dogs it can get pretty loud at times, we are trying to keep him a bit more quite but some days are better than others.
In September a mother in her 60s-70s and 30 something daughter moved in. Since then nothing but issues constantly complaining about my child’s noise, doors slamming and adults fighting. one of their complaints apparently my child had a meltdown and then 2 of us stayed home all day with more yelling and playing, we weren’t even home both me and son had left for the day him to school and than me to work (thank you cameras) and my dog barking, my dog barks to alert if my son is doing something potentially dangerous like standing on the arms of the couch, or climbing the counter, or backyard fence, he is not a service dog he just started doing it on his own accord and will always stop barking when myself or my partner check on whats going on.
The upstairs neighbours wanted a quiet home, not sure where they thought moving into a home with a child and 2 dogs was going to be quiet in the slightest, they now constantly harass us stomping on our ceiling which of course just riles my child up more, yelling at us when we’re outside even in front of our child. According to the older lady my son doesn’t actually have ADHD it’s just my bad parenting. Cranking the heat in the middle of may and recently switched it to A/C so I’m either boiling hot or freezing cold with no access to the thermostat.
They admitted to us that they eves drop and have recordings of my private conversations in my home which where I live if you are not part of the conversation it is illegal to record.
My car in the driveway had a scratch and a dent appear overnight a few months ago, resulting in a outdoor camera pointed to my car and my partners in the driveway it doesn’t record any audio and nothing of theirs strictly our cars which they hate and keep trying to get me to take it down, so good chance they did the damage and now can’t get away with that.
I swear they just enjoy complaining and making others lives miserable, I even told her one day she didn’t need to move in here, I was already here she chose this place knowing we were here.
