Hello all.

This morning I woke up to a text from my bank that said “Declined Visa Provisional Services for $0.00” on my credit card account. My research tells me this is not totally abnormal except in my case there’s no reoccurring charges on this account nor has it ever been linked to a wallet or made an online purchase on this version of the card. I have had multiple fraudulent charges in the past on this account. I have always gotten a new card asap so perhaps it’s for previous cards which did have reoccurring charges on them.

Is this normal or do I have a fraud concern.

This morning I awoke to a denied charge for $0.00 from visa provisional services. A quick check tells me this isn’t totally unusual but in my case it’s strange. I rarely use this card and by rarely I mean less than a dozen times a year. I have no subscriptions or reoccurring charges on this account. I also keep the card locked unless I’m using it for a charge due to past fraudulent charges.

I have used this card twice in the last week after no activity for months. Could it be those companies “pinging” me or do I have a fraud concern here?
