Hello all! I was prescribed 50mg of Metaprolol IR before my doctor thought my dose was a little high because I was struggling with a couple lasting side effects (heavy nausea) after the normal adjustment period.The medicine was working though! Woohoo! She dropped me down to 25mg of extended release, and my heart rate/BP has shot back up into the 30-40+ bmp range. (I was a 60bpm raised potsie before meds) I'm not sure if it's just rebound Tachycardia from lowering the dose/switching to ER or if the actual dose itself is not high enough. For those of you who have gone from a higher dose to a lower dose, did this happen to you, is this common? Should I wait to reach out and see if it regulates after a few days/weeks? Thanks x
