Does anyone know what this piece of hardware is called? Often found on old Military Kit. *It's not just a square loop/ring*

This is one of my favorite types of pass through closures. It's similar to a square loop but it has a protruding leg at the bottom that keeps it propped up while trying to close it.

I've included multiple examples from various militaries.

Hopefully the drawings make sense, as I don't want to dissect any of my pieces.
