As someone who always had golden retrievers and no human children, I never thought I’d consider a stroller or carrier for a small dog.. but here we are, 😆. Husband and I are outdoorsy and take our Golden places a lot. We now have a 9 week old Cavapoo and I want to get him socialized (safely). Also thinking forwardly to neuter recovery and long trips, walking, hiking, etc. I’m trying to figure out what makes the most sense. Our GR can walk, run, and swim for hours.. I recognize our Cava is unlikely to manage the same volume. I know most hikes won’t work with a stroller, but for everything else.. what are your thoughts and recommendations?? Are they too over the top? Totally worth it? Help!

How do you keep their faces and eyes clean?! I’m new to Cavapoos (mostly had Golden Retrievers—still have one). Not a fan of close shaves/short cuts.

We put down a deposit on this handsome little man. He’s an F1B Cavapoo. Mom is F1 Cavapoo. Dad, Mini Poodle.

We’ve only had Golden Retrievers for the last 11 years. We lost my 10 year old soul Golden (Show breed, not show dog) last August. We now have an almost 3 year old Field Golden, and she’s constantly looking for love. Super spoiled. Super loving to all creatures.

I feel ready for #2. I love training. Privacy fenced in yard. Our girl is my world. I work from home. Husband is hybrid. 37F/38M. Childfree by choice. I don’t want another full Golden merely due to the shedding (one is enough)!

Can anyone share some insights on the breed? Yes, I’ve done lots of research, but just looking for personal experiences as well. I take dog ownership very seriously.

Temperament, training, potential looks? Breeder estimates 15-20LB.
