Riders mad when you follow the GPS.
What do you Uber drivers do when it comes to following the GPS? Obviously the GPS isn’t always perfect, but I’ve been having customers get upset when I follow the Uber GPS or Google Maps instead of their directions.
Yesterday morning I had a lady tell me not to follow the GPS and just take the freeway and get off somewhere, but then she ended up having me zigzag all through downtown Dallas when I probably could’ve just stayed on the freeway and made a few turns to get there faster.
How do you guys handle situations like that? Do you usually follow the GPS no matter what, or do you let the customer direct you?
