Won RUDN Olympiad (Tuition Fee Waived) – Is RUDN Good for Master’s in Cybersecurity? Need Advice About Jobs & Internships in Russia
Hi everyone,
I’m from India and recently received an email saying that I’m a winner of the RUDN Olympiad for Informatics, which means my tuition fee for the master’s program can be waived.
I’m considering doing a Master’s in Cybersecurity at because I cannot afford very expensive universities in countries like the US, UK, or Australia.
I wanted honest opinions from students or graduates studying in Russia, especially at RUDN:
- Is RUDN a good university for Cybersecurity or IT-related fields?
- How is the quality of education and professors?
- What is the internship and job market like in Russia for international students in tech/cybersecurity?
- Is it possible to get internships during studies?
- How difficult is it for foreigners to get a first tech job in Russia after graduation?
- Does knowing Russian become mandatory for jobs?
- How is student life and safety for Indian students?
My main goal is to build a career in tech and improve my financial situation, so I want to make a practical decision before accepting the offer.
Any advice or personal experiences would really help. Thank you!
