Currently missing my N
Hi y’all!
My 2022 DCT Elantra N has been in the shop for the past month and 1/2. The transmission went out. It started with 5th gear. Had no idea what was happening (later found out the gear was actually slipping). Then 7th and then 3rd.
Anyways, the transmission replacement isn’t getting covered under warranty but luckily I bought an extended warranty (I actually didn’t know this) when I purchased the car (Pre-owned). The total price of transmission plus labor would have been…
$8311.06!
But I’m only gonna be paying $200. Not bad.
I hope I really get it back soon, I miss my cruises up HW 9. :(
TLDR: took it to the shop after transmission started to slip. It would have costed me $8311.06!
Edit: I know the transmission is a part of the powertrain but Hyundai themselves are not covering the replacement.
