Day 8/30 walking 15k steps everyday for 30 days

One week down & I’m still showing up. 15,000 steps a day is quite the commitment (for me) but I’m starting to feel like this is becoming part of my routine instead of something I have to force myself to do. A lot of people keep telling me, “Don’t stop after 30 days.” & I don’t plan to. I started this challenge to see what 30 days could do, but I’m already realizing I want this to be something I continue long after the challenge is over. Still tired as hell afterward though.

Day 7/30 walking 15k steps everyday for 30 days

One whole week down!
I really didn’t know how my body was going to handle 15,000 steps every single day especially after being so inactive for so long. I’m for sure still feeling it by the end of my walks but I’m also starting to realize just how much my body can actually handle when I keep pushing it. I’m also starting to notice that the walks are becoming more of a mental reset. There’s something about being outside for that long with nothing but my thoughts that I actually really enjoy. I have so much time to just think. I’m getting better at accepting that some days are going to be harder than others. Some days I have energy, some days I’m dragging myself through those last few thousand steps. And those last few thousand steps are still the hardest.

I’m proud of myself for making it through the first week without giving up. Now onto week 2!

Progress videos still on my page.

Day 1 walking 15k steps everyday for 30 days

Day 1/30 15,000 steps a day
I'm challenging myself to hit 15,000 steps every day for 30 days. I'm going to post each day. I want to see what 15k steps a day actually does for me over the course of a month, how my body changes, how I feel, how much easier walking becomes and also my mental! No idea what the end result will look like, but that's kind of the point. I know these pics of me are mortifying so please be kind!
Day 1 starts now, see you tomorrow.
