5 months with my FW13 :)
Hi guys!
I bought my Framework Laptop 13 at around Black Friday (hoping to get some good deals on storage and memory) with the AMD Ryzen 5 7640U, default 2.2K display, translucent bezel and translucent keyboard, and I love it!
Took some time for the Random Access Memory (much cooler name than just RAM) to arrive, but i got an incredible deal on Crucial 32GB (16GBx2) 5600 Kit for only 121€ (now its between 370€ and 470€, but i've seen it at over 500€ at one point). I also got a WD_BLACK SN7100 for 79€, and now its 179€.
So I got a really good deal for this laptop, for a total of 1209€.
The first thing I did was to sand off my mouse's dongle so it could be inside one expansion card slot, and that made it much more practical.
Also, this TUI tool is really handy if i want to charge the battery to 100% once, amd then bring it down to 80% as my usual limit, without needing to reboot and go in to de bios.
The display looks great (maybe a bit green), keyboard feels good (and I love how it looks), touchpad is huge, and battery life is more than enough for a couple of firefox tabs in school.
Only weird thing i've noticed is that the Delete and Esc keys have some tilt (but no other keys do), the touchpad is less than a milimeter higher on the closest side to the user (so i can notice it when i touch with my finger) and the hinge is a little softer than i'd prefer (can open 180º if i move it around sometimes). But this minor details don't bother me at all.
Really happy with this laptop. Feels really solid, premium and fun! Its so much nicer than the HP Pavilion i had before (my first laptop, which lasted 7 years).
