Best home security setup for a house in the Valley? Cameras, AI alerts, gate warning, etc.

Hi everyone! We’re new to the neighborhood and looking to upgrade the security around our house.

I’d love to hear what setups other homeowners in the Valley are using and actually happy with.

Ideally, I’m looking for something a little smarter than a basic alarm system. For example, if someone opens our front gate, I’d like the system to:

•	Turn on exterior lights
•	Start recording automatically
•	Play a warning like, “You are being recorded”
•	Send an immediate notification to our phones
•	Use AI/person detection to cut down on useless alerts
•	Ideally integrate the cameras, alarm, gate sensors, lights, etc.

What systems or companies would you recommend? SimpliSafe, Ring, Reolink, UniFi, ADT, something else?

Also open to hiring a good local security/low-voltage company if anyone has someone they trust.

Would love to hear what you installed, what it cost, and anything you would do differently.

Be brutally honest: What are the biggest flaws in this floor plan?

I’m looking for constructive criticism from anyone with experience in architecture, construction, interior design, or simply living in a house. Please be brutally honest, I’d rather fix problems on paper than after construction. Point out anything you think could be improved, no matter how small.
