Unfortunately my last post was deleted for posting NSFW content. My Patreon page directed to that kind of images indeed, but the photos I posted were totally safe for work! Anyway, I'm trying it again, not directing to my Patreon but to my Instagram. I am an agender photographer from Amsterdam. Last year I won World Press Photo with this images from my long term series On Hold, about trans and non binary people who are waiting for genderaffirming care. See you!
I'm Prins, a queer photographer from Amsterdam, and I recently launched my Patreon, where I share uncensored queer photography, behind the scenes videos and complete photo series that can't be shared on Instagram.
I add two new shoots every month, and new members get access to the growing archive.
If you'd like to support my work, I'd love to have you there: www.patreon.com/prinsdevos
Question: if you gift people a membership for a month as a creator, will they automatically turn into a free member after their free month expired? I can't find anything about this. Thanks for helping out!
My account was just suspended for “public nudity.” They referred to several images that were not behind a paywall and therefore visible to everyone. However, the image in question only showed a nude male torso.
Is Patreon really as prudish as Meta?
I have replaced the image with even more conservative ones, but I’m still worried about my account. I create artistic nude photography, not pornography.
Have any creators, especially photographers, experienced this as well? How did you resolve it?
Out of curiosity: how long did it take people with a decent following (10,000 to 20,000 social media followers) to grow their Patreon to a few hundred, a thousand, or a few thousand dollars per month? In other words, how gradual is that growth usually? Are there any good examples?
Happy Monday! Apparently this is the only day we're allowed to shamelessly promote ourselves, so here I am doing exactly that ;)
I'm a queer, World Press Photo-winning photographer from Amsterdam, and I've recently launched a Patreon dedicated to queer representation, intimacy and artistic photography.
The project explores queer bodies, desire, vulnerability and connection through portraiture, while also sharing reflections, visual diaries and behind-the-scenes glimpses into my practice.
My goal is to build a growing archive of queer lives and bodies that might one day become a printed zine.
If that sounds like something you'd like to support, I'd be honored to have you there!

Genuine question: I’m a niche photographer with award-winning work and around 10,000 followers on Instagram. For several years I had a fairly inactive Patreon page that generated about €35 per month.
Last month I launched a new concept: I create a lot of explicit photographic work and share the uncensored photo shoots on Patreon. Because I have a reasonably large following and mailing list, I expected to gain at least a number of members right away.
There isn’t a huge amount of content online yet, but there are already a few photo shoots available. Still, growth has been much slower than I expected.
Is there anyone or anywhere I could get feedback on the page itself to understand what I could improve?
