Proper ball roll

I recently started bowling one handed and I’ve having issues w/ my release. My ball tends to spin like a top rather than end over end. Kinda like a spinner bowler. But I am behind the ball. There will be times when ball roll is end over end. I can’t be a fit issue right most likely a release issue? Any advice?

Is it normal to have my ball be really oily after every shot?

Today when my ball returned it was drenched in oil. I couldn’t see any track from my ball as the whole ball was submerged in oil. Is this just a house shot with heavy oil? Cuz normally my center pattern has lighter oil and you can see the tracks on the ball. But yeah I had no grip on my ball today and my shammy barely got any oil out.

Staying Inside the bowling ball?

I struggle to stay inside the bowling ball and wanted some advice and swing thoughts for it. I wanted to know at what point should your elbow be close to your body. On the down swing I know that gravity will naturally let the ball fall. But do you force your arm to be close to your body in order for it to be inside the ball? I also wanted to know if you stay inside the ball even if you’re playing straight?
