Preston Road overflowing bins

As you can see in the photos the bins on Preston Road up to Preston park are all overflowing and there's shite absolutely everywhere, no one has anywhere to put the rubbish so it's just getting worse every day, it's been like this for at least a fortnight.... Obviously the seagulls and foxes are getting into it all so it just keeps getting strewn everywhere and torn up.

I've made a complaint through the council's web form twice now and I've still had nothing back from them, what the hell can I do now for them to come and get rid of it all?? Surely I'm not the only one to have complained

They've obviously missed several bin collections by now - I did see something about the refuse collectors not working in the heat but there have been plenty of cooler days so what's going on??

My trinket shelf

Recently managed to mount one of my trinket shelves and start a gallery wall! I'm so proud of her it's so adorable, my pride and joy 🥹

The shelf itself was actually a desk/drawer organizer that I painted and displayed upright instead of flat.

Most trinkets have been thrifted from charity shops and car boot sales, some vinted and a couple of new items like the Mini Masterpieces which I accidentally became obsessed with and started ageing the frames and now they look so much better!

I've now started curating a second shadow box shelf that's a bit bigger than this one but I've not got enough to fill it yet and I don't want to stick anything down before I've decided where it's gonna go.

The gallery wall was very haphazard and I just kinda chucked stuff up and hoped for the best so not very curated lol

Please do tell me your opinions! What's your favourite stuff or any tips for my next shelf?

No shower for over two months - need help with a formal complaint and request for reduced rent for the period it's been broken.

Hey guys, hoping for a bit of help as my shower has been broken (huge crack and leaking into the cafe downstairs, totally unusable without flooding my bathroom and downstairs) for over two months now (since Feb 28th) and I have spoken to the estate agent on the phone regarding compensation. I said to them that last time something similar happened, (the bath/shower cracked right down the middle and was leaking into the room downstairs) that they fixed it in less than two weeks and gave us 50% off the rent for those two weeks so essentially had a weeks rent for free.

I said this was a breach of the fitness for habitation act, as well as the Landlord and tenant act 1985. They asked for me to email them in writing to formally ask for a reduction and to quote the advice I was given from citizens advice.

Can you help me cite the sources etc or let me know if there's anything I don't know about my rights, having not had anywhere to bathe for over two months. I only have a shower in the house and no bath so it's the only place for me to wash - I have been visiting friends and paid for a gym membership which has just renewed for the third month in a row.

What should I include in my formal request?

Any help or advice would be massively appreciated

(Do not tell me to withhold rent pls that is the opposite of what I want to do)
