Would it be ethical to make terminally ill patients fight to the death to determine who gets saved?
Let’s say that we have a wizard with mediocre healing skills. They can instantly cure anyone of any fatal disease but only once a month. However, they can temporarily revert any illness for exactly one week. Would it be ethical for the wizard to go around hospitals and forcing terminally ill patients to participate in a hunger game style free for all, in which all patients will have their illness temporarily reverted and the winner will be permanently cured? In this scenario there would probably be about 20 people fighting at once in a forest with weapons hidden around. The patients would also all be within a month of dying and have no choice.
