Learn Farsi iOS app just launched 🚀, would love to hear what you think!

Hey everyone 😊

We just launched a big update for our Learn Farsi iOS app, and we’re really happy to have it live on the App Store.

Learn Farsi started as a web tool, but many of you asked for a pure mobile experience, so we listened. It’s a simple app to help you learn words, practice, and build up your Persian over time. We’re focused on making it something that’s fun and easy to stick with.

We’d love to build this together with the community and turn it into the best Persian learning app out there, so any honest feedback means a lot 🙏. Let’s give the Persian language the learning tools it deserves (little jab to Duolingo 🦉 😉)

If you want to check it out:

And if you enjoy it, leaving a review would really help ❤️

Thanks so much for all the love and support for learnfarsi.app, it really means a lot and helps us keep improving!

Best Way to Learn Farsi on iPhone? Looking for Feedback on the New App

Hi everyone,

A while ago I shared LearnFarsi.app here, a free project I built to help people learn Persian vocabulary and grammar.

One piece of feedback I received regularly was that many people preferred using a native iPhone app instead of the website. So I built one.

Today I'm happy to share that the Learn Farsi iOS app is now available on the App Store 🎉

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6778589333

If you decide to try it, I'd especially love feedback on:

  • Whether the app feels smooth to use
  • Whether the navigation and learning flow make sense.

This is the first release, so there's still plenty to improve and it's been quite the journey to get this app live on the app store.😅

Thank you to everyone who has supported the project and shared feedback so far. I really appreciate it.

Couldn't have done it without the community here. 🙏

Fun way to impress your Persian partner with Farsi Love Phrases

Salaam everyone!

If you have a Persian partner and want to surprise them with a few cute Farsi phrases, I made something simple for you!

I learned Farsi myself after meeting my Persian partner about 5 years ago, and one thing I’ve always loved is how beautiful and expressive love words are in Farsi.

So I built a small card-flip game where you can quickly learn some fun and romantic phrases:

It’s super simple:
→ flip cards
→ learn a phrase
→ try it out on your partner 😄

Curious what you think, and if you have favourite phrases, would love to add them!
Kheily mamnoon!🙏

LearnFarsi update: French ↔ Farsi is live 🇫🇷🇮🇷

Hey everyone,

Quick update from learnfarsi.app 👋

After a lot of feedback from this subreddit, I’ve just launched the French ↔ Farsi language pair 🇫🇷🇮🇷

A few of you asked for this specifically, so I decided to start here.
I did choose to make this feature paid, since properly translating, testing, and maintaining a full new language (especially one I don’t speak fluently) takes quite a bit of extra work and resources. The main tool (English ↔ Farsi language pair) is free forever ofcourse.

I also asked users which language to add next, here were the results:

🇪🇸 Spanish — 5 votes
🇩🇪 German — 4 votes
🇦🇫 Dari — 4 votes
🇵🇰 Urdu — 3 votes
🇹🇷 Turkish — 2 votes
🇮🇹 Italian — 1 vote
🇵🇹 Portuguese — 0 votes
🇸🇦 Arabic — 0 votes

Curious what you all think:

- What language should be next?
- Do you think adding language pairs is valuable for students?

As always, really appreciate all the feedback and ideas from this community, it’s genuinely shaping the product ❤️

LearnFarsi went to 440 users in 4 months. How can I make it better?

Hey everyone,

I’ve shared learnfarsi.app here a few times and got some really valuable feedback, really appreciate all the help 🙏

Quick update: over the past ~4 months we’ve grown to ~440 users and almost 10,000 lessons completed, which has been awesome to see.

I’ve added quite a few features based on your suggestions, but I’m starting to feel the app might be getting a bit too complex. I’d love to simplify the learning flow and make it more intuitive.

Learn Farsi has been built with the community, and the journey has been awesome. Now I am looking to improve by making everything more efficient and intuitive, and where better than to ask where it all started.

So I wanted to ask:

  • What feels confusing or unnecessary?
  • What would you simplify or remove?
  • What’s missing that would actually help you learn faster?

Would really appreciate your honest feedback ❤️

And again, thank you to everyone who’s been using the app and sharing ideas so far, it’s genuinely helped shape what it is today. Couldn’t have done it without this community 🙏
