I Made a Cheap Bezel for My 55" Frame and Now I’m Worried About Warping. Anyone Ran One for a Year+?

Barista budget meets Frame TV ownership. I finally pulled the trigger on a 55" Frame after years of lurking this sub, but the official bezel prices made me wince. For context, I've spent entire afternoons debating whether 400 pesos for street tacos in Oaxaca was worth it, so dropping nearly that much on a strip of plastic felt wrong.

I ended up building a bezel from poplar trim and matte spray paint, following a post I found here from someone who did something similar. It sits flush, looks passable from three feet away, and my partner hasn't complained yet, which is the real benchmark.

What worries me is how it handles the TV heat over months. The wood is unsealed on the inside edge where it faces the screen. I've seen moulding warp in humid Toronto summers before, and our place gets swampy in July.

Has anyone run a DIY bezel for a year plus? Did you seal the inner surface or leave it bare? I'm particularly curious if anyone has compared third-party magnetic options against homemade ones for gap consistency. The magnet alignment on these things feels like it wants a tenth of a millimeter precision I don't possess.

Minimalist road travel + coffee: how do you keep it decent without the bulk?

Been working as a barista for about six years now and I'm planning my first real stretch of road travel this coming spring. Going minimal, probably just a backpack and a sleeping setup. FWIW I've done budget travel internationally but always with a home base to return to. This whole nomadic thing is new territory for me.

My main question is what do people do about coffee? I'm pretty particular about my morning cup, just my thing, and the idea of relying on gas station stuff or instant for weeks sounds rough. I've considered packing an Aeropress but even that feels bulky when every inch matters. Saw one guy mention a moka pot situation in an older thread but that seemed like a lot of fuel and weight.

Curious if anyone here has a setup that actually works without eating pack space. FWIW I'm not expecting specialty grade on the road, just something decent. MMV depending on what you prioritize I guess.

Also wondering if people just learn to let go of certain rituals when they're out there. Maybe that's part of the experience. Still trying to figure out my own balance between comfort and mobility. Any input appreciated.

Looking for DIY bezel ideas that don't block the light sensor

the official Samsung bezels feel overpriced for what they are. thinking about making one myself, but the light sensor needs to stay uncovered. curious what materials worked for others without warping over time. my Frame is in a bright room so the auto brightness matters. anyone tried wood or metal trim that sits flush but leaves a gap for the sensor?

How consistent are co-fermented coffees from batch to batch?

We've been getting more co-fermented coffees through the shop lately, and I've noticed the same coffee can taste surprisingly different when the next batch comes in. I've only worked with four or five of these lots, so I'm curious if others have noticed the same thing.

Is that kind of variation normal with co-fermentation, or does it mostly come down to the producer and how tightly they're controlling the process?

Would especially love to hear from roasters or anyone who's worked with the same co-fermented coffee across multiple batches.
