Taking orders for this weekend. Still trying to build something from my home kitchen.

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I started selling homemade biryani on weekends. The response has honestly been better than I expected, and the feedback has helped me improve every batch.

This weekend I'm taking orders again:

Chicken Biryani - 150

Slow-Cooked Mutton Curry with Bagara/Jeera Rice – ₹275

Mutton biryani - 250

Everything is cooked from scratch in small batches at home. If you've seen my previous posts, you know I've been documenting the process and taking every bit of feedback seriously.

Homemade Biryani!!!

Hi All,

I recently posted about cooking biryani at home and selling it to folks who are craving a tasty, hygenic homemade biryani.

Im proud to say i sold my first batch yesterday and recieved a good feedback.

Here are some snippets from the feedback

  1. Hi. The biryani was very good. Looked just like the pics you posted to reddit. Very flavourful rice, the chicken pieces cooked perfectly..and my family loved the raita.

  2. No worries. The biryani was really good I totally loved it. The chicken was well cooked, nice, and tender. The masala of the biryani was on point not too spicy, but not bland either.

Thanks to u/nashik91 and u/replacementlow3538 for trusting me and placing orders for themselves/fnf. Really greatful for your trust.

Im open to taking 2 orders today and couple more for tomorrow(only dinner). Please DM me if anyine is interested.

Homemade Chicken Dum Biryani Trial Run in/around Kondapur,Would Anyone Be Interested?

I've been hearing the same complaint from a lot of Hyderabadis over the last few years which is biryani just doesn't taste the way it used to. Prices keep going up, portions get smaller, and quality seems inconsistent.

I've been making chicken dum biryani at home for a while and friends and family keep telling me I should sell it. The problem i have is that friends might lie because they're usually too polite/diplomatic to give honest feedback.

So I'm thinking of running a small experiment.

The plan:

Around Kondapur

Homemade chicken dum biryani

Limited batch (10–15 portions)

₹130 per portion

Friday evening pickup(26th June)

Mainly looking for honest feedback from strangers

I'm not trying to start a restaurant or cloud kitchen right now. I just want to find out whether my biryani is genuinely good enough that people would actually pay for it and order it again.

A few questions:

Would you buy a homemade biryani from someone local if it looked hygienic and well-packed?

Is ₹130 reasonable for a small portion?

What would make you trust a first-time seller?

Would you prefer pickup or delivery (within Kondapur)?

Feel free to be brutally honest. I'd rather hear criticism now than after cooking 15 boxes of biryani.

Thanks.
