I have a huge amount of weapons and 2 ref metals. They are currently unable to be traded away due to my account being f2p. Once I upgrade, will the become tradeable, or will they just rot away in my backpack forever?

Hey professors, I am a Soldier and Pyro main, however I am interested in starting to play Medic too. Could you give me some tips on how to play as him, and what weapon loadouts to use? I prefer to be able to defend myself against enemies like Spies or Scouts, especially if I am alone.
