3 years of shifting and I’m still struggling. Any advice?

Hi everyone!
I’ve known about and been practicing shifting for around three years now. During that time, I’ve tried many different methods and changed my mindset several times to see what works best for me.
However, I still can’t stop focusing on my 3D reality and telling myself that I haven’t shifted successfully just because I haven’t seen or physically experienced my DR yet. Even though I understand the idea that the 3D reflects the 4D, I just can’t seem to genuinely believe it. Whenever I try to think positively, I immediately start doubting myself.
When I attempt to shift and visualize my DR, I try to imagine that I’m already lying in my bedroom there. But I can hear the sounds from my CR so clearly that I can’t convince myself I’m actually in my DR. My DR is Hogwarts, so hearing modern-day sounds from my CR makes it even harder to immerse myself. Because of that, I end up having negative thoughts and doubting the whole process.
Right now, I’m trying to find tips or methods that fit me better. Does anyone have any advice, techniques, or mindset tips that personally helped you?
Also, has anyone here successfully shifted using the lucid dream method? If so, how do you usually get into a lucid dream?
Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful day, everyone!
