TOY STORY 5 eyeing a 175M+ DOMESTIC OPENING? Summer 2026 - Box Office.

Are people suddenly forgetting how well Super Mario Galaxy and The Devil Wears Prada 2 are doing?

Obsession and Backrooms are huge hits and that is amazing, but why do people automatically feel the need to put others in a bad light without a reason?

Toy Story 5, Minions & Monsters, Moana, The Odyssey and Spider-Man Brand New are surely going to be massive, especially Toy Story and Spider-Man as both of them are pretty much locked to pass 1B+ globally. (I'd like to add Moana in the 1B+ conversation, although I'm sure some will disagree with me)

What is your opinion on this matter?

In addition, Toy Story 5 is reportedly going to open with massive 175M+ domestically. Does that surprise you or were you expecting such an outcome? Do you even believe such a high opening is realistic for Toy Story 5?

COMPARISON - TOP 10

  1. The Lion King - 191M
  2. Incredibles 2 - 182M
  3. Inside Out 2 - 154M
  4. The Super Mario Bros. Movie - 146M*
  5. Moana 2 - 139M*
  6. Finding Dory - 135M
  7. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - 131M*
  8. Frozen II - 130M
  9. Shrek The Third - 121M
  10. Toy Story 4 - 120M

  4. Inside Out 2 (2024) - 1.698B

Box office predictions for Toy Story 5 global final are welcome! Feel free to support you predictions with explanations/data/arguments/reasons etc.

A lot of people were saying that Toy Story is over and that it should have finished with the third film, but it looks like Toy Story has never been bigger than now.

BONUS Discussion Topic: Seeing how well Toy Story 5 is doing…, is Super Mario Galaxy‘s performance even more disappointing now? And did your expectations towards Shrek 5 change?
